Anyone know the West vs Naenae result?

Called off after 60 minutes apparently due to weather

Really?  Do you know what the score was?

I hope by weather you mean the ground conditions were deemed dangerous as I don't believe a ref can call it due to a bit of rain and hail.

Well this will suit Wests if it gets pushed out til the end of the season as they will be able to stack their side

Yeah don't know the details, just an email from Pretzel.....Endeavour never really gets muddy so there wouldnt be any issues with the pitch.

I thought the result stands if you pass the 60 min mark.

It is at the discretion of the manager. Look at senior regulations 3.11.a

no result posted yet wud suggest the game is going to be replayed at seasons end, yay now wests can stack the team

If the game is played at the end of the season, Wests will need to regrade players before Central finish, Someone might be able to confirm, but once a higher grade finishes, no players can be regarded down.  So they would need to play the last 2 games for Wests 2nd's before being classed as 2nd.

Upper Hutt and West 1st both safe in  CL, can see some regarding happening more often now to get 2nds promoted.

you are correct sir

6.6 Once a player has played two consecutive matches for a club’s lower graded team they are deemed to be a player of that team.

6.10 No player can be re-graded down to another team following conclusion of their league, unless that player has not played in a higher graded team at any time during the season.

Been pretty quiet in here lads. The pressure of the last few rounds taking it's toll? Is it season over for DV? Are IB gonna hang on for the title or is it Wests to lose?

Was watching Olympic vs Stop Out and was absolutely horrified at the referees performance. Felt sorry for both teams that the match was left in her hands.

agree not great, but as a neutral observer (I kinda have watched as many of stop outs games as I could this season though) what a game!

SO couldn't find anything in the first half, with a lot of poor performances (numbers 8, 6, 13, 2, 17 and 12 not able to make a single pass in the first half) and Olympic took the lead through a harsh goal (ball bobbled after keeper dived and bounced over him) but second half they got slightly better , a dodgy penalty to both teams made the score 2-1 before a late SO come back made it 2-2 thanks to a lucky keeping error. then a shot a save and a tap in made the SO captain (#7) score the match winner with just minutes to go!

also saw some good performance of someone of the bench, I thought he was a good CB at beginning of season but loss of form and fitness has looked like he dropped out of the starting 11 (that's what the coach told me anyway) but he came on and was a mass at the back, challenged and won every ball near him and organised the back line like they hadn't been all game, I cant remember his number but that's what I liked bout him at the beginning of the season!

Yeah Stop Out were good. Olympic must be the only team in the league that don't train at all, fitness is clearly a problem.

Huge couple of games for Naenae coming up, game against Island Bay, against relegation threatened WU and a possible rematch against Wests. Good results and some help from other teams in the league and they could potentially finish up in a promotion spot.

Yea big thanks to Douglas Villa for their hospitality.  It was a good game played in the right spirit (still a little disappointed about that red).  Good luck for your remaining games, if you guys play like you did i'm sure you will get some good results.

I see that the West vs Naenae game is now up, so I guess they will be replaying it

Jeez I hope not! Naenae would get smashed in Cap 1, their ground sucks! they are a horrible bunch from what I have seen aswell. The scrap at Stop Out was a horrible scene and apparently not their 1st confrontation this season. Wests and Upper Hutt would be my picks now, good luck guys!

Yeah I'm sure Naenae would get "smashed" in Capital 1. Second best defensive record in the league, add a regular goalscorer and Naenae would be more than comfortable at that level. Also the fact they've played there for most of the last decade. Some great youth starting to develop now, just need to try and keep them away from the larger clubs.

I've been waiting for this to rear its ugly head, let me put the record straight. "The scrap" at stop out was indeed a horrible scene that started when an ex naenae player playing for stop out slapped a current naenae player in the face during after match handshakes and things escalated from there. Naenae tried to retire but were constantly confronted by several stopout players. The ex naenae player also followed naenaes number 10 into the changing room hallway and punched his own team mate in the face after the naenae lad evaded the punch.
Absolute sour grapes after a hard fought close game that went naenaes way, as far as I'm concerned off the field the ex naenae player is a top bloke but should give up the game as his on field behaviour that I have witnessed over the years is not fit!
As for the cap1 comment I'm sure they could hold their own now that they have both a coach and team that are committed to cause.

If they win or come second in cap 2  they have earned the right to play cap 1, so they will have to be good enough.

Also one of the best clubs after the game for banter, and their range of cider!

Wow your reply conveinently managed to miss a few facts out mate, being someone from Naenae I suppose that is to be expected. No mention of the supporter ridiculously running onto the field to celebrate their goal, also no mention of the bottle that one of the Naenae players threw at the Stop Out player who used to play for Naenae... Also no mention of the clown who took his top off a pranced around the field challeneging people to a fight.... Sour grapes? sour grapes is not turning up into peoples clubrooms after the game no matter what happened. Also who are these good young players that Naenae are starting to produce?  Naenae dont seem to have any club structure in place to produce and keep their young players and until that happens not many would stick around to eventually want to play in Cap 2 for the 1st team.

Haha last time I checked mate this was an opinion forum. Good result though Naenae! Although one would hope that your 1st team might beat Island Bays 3rd team... Huge result
