Heard that Island Bay 3rd team been Dissolved. So who will be taking their place.

This is not correct
looks like a bit of a shuffle around with waikanae pulling out, cant wait
If they are anything like they were last year then they will be a tough team to beat. They run all day, physical and are hard to beat at home.

Naenae will be looking to make a big improvement on last years season. With one of the better defences in the league last year watch out if they start finding better goal scoring form. I'm predicting the Hutt contingent of Upper Hutt, Stop Out and Naenae to all be up the top of the table. Upper Hutt particularly with their first team having been promoted to Central League will have a very strong squad of young players looking to make their way to the first team, Stop Out have also made a lot of quality signings for their first team which will filter down.
Saw first 60 mins Upper Hutt v Olympic. Finished 4-1. Upper Hutt could have scored 10. Played some very nice football at times but a little difficult to gauge as Olympic really were awful and had several candidates for Jenny Craig in their team. Predicting a good year for Upper Hutt.
watched stop out 2nds yesterday, played some very good football in the first half but lost it a bit in the second, completely outplayed island bay but they had 4 shots and scored 4 goals, such is soccer! final score was 4-1 to island bay.
very young back 4 for stop out though, impressive though, cant be blamed too much for the goals. stop outs goal very good from a new player by the sounds of it, josh more? talkin to one of the parents on the sideline and he helped me out with some of the names haha! i recognise most of the back 4 from them playing last year, new young lad (sounded a bit english, not certain though?? wore number ....4 i think? or 14?) anyway looked like a very solid CB, won everything in the air, had nice touches with feet, looked like he got hurt of a nasty landing from a header in the final 10 minutes, limped the rest of the game out aha!
one of the strikers, from waiunui i think? looked alright up front, very willin runner, good footwork, made the keeper work a few times, and a helpful hand from damon in a midfield role, looked good, suffering from lack of game time as went down with cramp around 60 mins, ex 1st team keeper vinny godwin was in goal and captained them, good communication, at fault for one of the goals though, easy shot rolled to him, he mishandled and striker snapped in rebound.
looks like they could have a good season this year, as soon as they get a few more games under their belts! haha, wheres there next game, ill give them another watch!!!
The Centre Back you are talking about would be Kieran Duncalfe, who along with Josh Moore and Brook Searle transferred from Upper Hutt this season. All good young p[layers and all either under 20 or not far off. Brook played for Team Wellington youf this year although I understand he is out for the season with a knee problem. Brook was top scorer for Upper Hutts Cap 2 side last year with around 15 goals. Josh very good left sided attacking player with pace to burn and also scores on a regular basis. Kieran actually played Right Back last year but has bulked up over last 6 months and is strong with a big motor. Definitely all good gains for Stop Out.

Wow! You must have watched a different game than I did
Few more interesting results in this weeks round, our boys were stocked at putting 6 past upper hutt considering we had no pre season games, lost to wests last week and are still struggling to get our top team on the pitch due to injuries and work commitments, hopefully we can keep getting better from here as we still know we have a lot more in us.
stop out and naenae, disapointing to say the least from stop out, a few stand out players from last week didnt stand up, naenae had 3 penalties in the space of 3 minutes, first was definitly a penalty, silly challenge from a first team drop down centre back asian fellow? great save by keeper, goes out for corner, balls whipped in and unluckily hits hand of player after a trick from a naenae player, seemed harsh but oh well, different taker, same result, another good save, but a retake was taken as some players encroached and this time a 3rd different taker, and he smashed it in, but keeper did get a hand on it. other than that stop out were pretty disapointing, resorting too long balls, pitch wasnt great but i expected better. good game from naenae
Wests look like they will be strong this year if they keep the same team from the weekend.
Trent Watson, Cory Larsen and Moritz Terlau.
Villa7, what did Upper Hutt look like? Similar team to last year?
Some familiar faces and alot of new ones, quite young all round the park with the exception of a couple, good ball skills, good passing game, just think it wasnt their day, i'd like to think we can put 6 past them again but i don't think it will happen that easy
What's the word from this weekend's action? 3 more points for IBU I see. Can the boys in yellow stay top from the start? 3 points on the road for DV as well eh? Gotta be happy with that.
Nice report Fuzz. Any other banter from the weekend gone? Predictions for this round of matches? This forum has been pretty quiet this week!
villa hoping for another 3 point this week but it wont be easy, i think we have a team of 11, still struggling with injuries, players away for other commitments. To make it worse the council have finally decided to open our ground without doing any ground work since the start of last season so it is pretty horrible and patchy, only positive is that it is the same for both teams so players beware of the curse of the "villa bobble"

Congrats to the villa boys. Another close one, but enough to take the three points. Top of the table clash next week lads, so give them hell...
cheers bro, was a real club effort yesterday and the boys were stocked to take the points after being 2 nil up with 25 to go
stop out v upper hutt - poor game from stop out in my opinion, there was barely any fire or intensity in their game, a few sparks came from the old upper hutt players that play for stop out now but nothing incredible. both wingers veryout of the game. the defence shows promise as it has done all season but again 4 goals were scored against them. ref was shocking, in my opinion, some fouls he gave cards for, some he didnt. my man-of-the-match for stop out did a clear deliberate trip on a player (proffessional foul the coaches said) and didnt get a card, but a upper hutt player shoulder to shoulder a player and got carded! shocking, anyway stop out should have better luck next week.
Well it wont be a top of the table clash, close but it will be 2 vs 3... IBU are still top and play Wellington United
watched stop out vs tawa at kura park. tawa were average to say the least, stop out were dominant throughout, scored only the 1 goal and it was a very lucky goal at best, centre back played ball to striker and continued his run, winger had a shot and keeper palmed upwards, CB went in to try score rebound and I don't know what happened but he didn't try claim it so im guessing the keeper fumbled. stop out could have scored 8, very poor half defensively, but picked up a bit in the second a lot. great performance from right back, and was that blair easthope I saw running around in the middle of the park?
Villa7, another big win for you guys, well done! Travelling well at the moment it seems. Hows the squad now? You guys back to full strength?
ummm i guess when nate comes back this weekend we will be back to full strength.......for this year, unfortunately i have a torn meniscus and bung acl so i wont be playin any footy this year so i'd like 2 say we aren't at full strength but the lads are doing awesome without me so maybe i should retire lol hanging out 2 play tho, looking forward to the game when villa play IBU
What's going on at Island Bay this year? Dead last in Cap1 and Top of Cap2 with a 100% record. Some politics going on in terms of players making themselves unavailable for the top 2 sides?

Fuck this stupid game
I dont think the Cap 1 side will remain there for long. They have a good squad of players, and looked really sharp on Saturday vs BNU.
As for Cap 2, again a strong squad of players, there is probably 2 players who have played for the firsts at some point in past years. However, neither of these guys played for the 1sts last year, and while still quality, I would say its more about other committments rather than any political issues
looking forward to having Olympic come over the hill this weekend as they defaulted to us last year
Not sure if the Olympic team will make it all the way to Maserton.... Too many pie shops on the way coupled with the Horsepower that would be required to propel them up the slopes of the Rimutaka Hill Road may be asking too much!
