Have to agree with you for once Paolo. I don't think it should matter what "matchball" you use as both teams have to use it. As long as it a ball which is to match standard and the ref is happy with it whats the big deal? Will we be seeing more than one wharf player in Stop out clubrooms this Saturday after the match or does that depend on if we use the correct balls?

True. I just know that Island Bay are a stickler for the rules so pointing out their error will help them sleep at night no doubt.

Depends if Poly is in the squad. Also car park security will be a factor no doubt.

Odds of striker Jo losing his rag this weekend (and probably scoring a Hatrick)?

Yeah fair call.  Lol nahh you will be sweet with the car park. Its been at least 2 weeks since any cars have been stolen or broken into. I can do a halftime peremiter check if you like?

Poly was there - great speech

he drinks as much as the rest of the team so IBU didn't miss out at there bar i suspect and he always has something to say no matter what state he is in.

though i am sure the ball issue is to distract us from the fact that for a top level game like capital premier it is expected that both the home and away team show up for speech's back at the home club unless a good reason is given like traveling back to Gisbourne or Napier by car

good sportsmanship and fair playing field is all we ask for

but all we get is talk and goal posts moving

yep I was cunningly trying to distract you as I particularly care what you think even though you have nothing to do with Island Bay AFC.

Im sure there would be a good reason as to why their first team didnt show. Pretty sure the result would've had zero to do with it.

I'm picking not many Miramar Cap Prem players will stay at #DFPark on Saturday after the game even though they are the home team . Just saying.

Stop Out 2 Wharf 0. Third straight league loss for Karori. Competed well for an

hour despite more injuries but Stop Out were well deserved winners. Nice

comment from ref Piper to SO goallie: "If you keep delaying, I could get grumpy."

Watched Seatoun vs Lower Hutt today. Good win for Lower Hutt. Well deserved. Seatoun were never in the game. I hope the player from Seatoun who got sent off with 5 minutes to go gets a decent ban. Actually thought he was going to crack the ref when it happened. His own players had to pull him away. Then he approached the ref on two occasions after the game and continuted abusing him and the linesmen. Absolute disgrace!!!

Lower hutt took the chances well, couple of nice counter goals towards the end. Seatoun never turned up...

will be interesting to see what happens with the Red as 3 or 4 assessor were on the sideline too

Interesting. Declyn Edge got 12 weeks for having 3 separate cracks at the ref.

Yeah I am very supprised with the one week. Several people saw it. Obviously the ref didn't think it was a big deal.

Petone 0 Wharf 1 (Ford, header from corner in first half). Ramsay hit the bar near the end.

Wharf good on defence, so-so on attack. LM 7th and 8th yellows and a red. MoM: Ford.

saw the second half not a great game. Petone to be fair played more football and have quite a few handy kids was moderately impressed by them. Karori knocked it long a bit too often. Agree fordy had a good game from what I saw.

Titanic 3 Lower Hutt 2.  1-1 ht.  However Hutt won the cards count 8 to 1.  7 yellows and 1 red.  Add the 5 yellows from the first round, 12 yellows and a red for in 2 matches for Hutt.  Kids aye?  What do ya do.......

Competitive match and cards do not do justice. LHC missed chances in first half after going one up. WU strong and competitive and got back in game. LHC keeper made good saves to hold lead. WU equaliser from corner before half time.

Poor decision by referee not to award free kick against WU attacker for clattering into central defender and send him crashing to ground. WU scored winner as result. Disgraceful decision. WU posed little threat prior to winning goal and struggled against 10 men. LHC missed late chance to equalise.

Wanganui Athletic have set themselves up to win the league after beating Team Taranaki 2-1 in their top-of-the-table clash in Wanganui. Wanganui have just about wrapped up the league and should go on to a promotion playoff with the likely Wellington winner Stop Out.

so if Wanganui get promotion instead of stop out do we get three teams being dropped out of premier?

1 drops from CL - so if Wanganui go in to CL - bottom Cl drops but if they have a prem team it drops, regardless of where on the table they are. So complicated till CL is complete. IMO

This clown should be facing a lengthy ban, he has been suspended numerous times over the last few seasons. Last time we played Seatoun, he got a second yellow for bobsledding me, which I wasn't happy about and gave him words, then he tried to punch me ( unsuccessfully thanks to my ninja like reflexes ) in the face.

You think his coach and team mates would have a word!

Profile pic. Should you be interested. Lakhsen, on the right, lost touch with him.
Mohammed, on the left, I'm still in touch with. He's now living in Agadez, Niger. More focused on his animals now as tourism has dried up. Is active with a co-op promoting local goods, leather work and bijouterie, into Europe.
