Olympic 10, Island Bay 2.

20 goals for and 3 against after 3 games with a 100% win record.

Great start for The Greeks!

WU 1 - 1 Mar. either team could have won it, good battle.
My token comment on the pitch: Newtown 1, near perfect. No blood in my boots like last week after playing on wakefield

i don't think there is any doubt that bubbles deserved to go up. the whole Naenae situation was/is ridiculous but theres not much point going on about it i guess. Will they lose this year?

No bunny team in Premier league this year I think.

Though Olympic will just blatantly win capital 1 and go straight up anyway

I kept my job for another week with a 2-1 win over Ynui.

Pretty even. Could have been 2-1 the other way quite easily. The winner for us was a 40 yard ripper, then they missed an open goal in the last minute.

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

not sure how that second half goal fest came about. Especially considering Wharf had all the possession.
Im picking Wharf will take out the return game

Surely IB had a team on the pitch in the 2nd half...????  regardless..... it would have been great to watch all these goals...

bubbles beat wharf dreamers 4-0 at Wakefield. A deserved win. I was surprised by the quality that Olympic had. Some handy young players with pace. Should take out the league easily enough.
Wakefield is the home ground of IB,BNU and Olympic. They might as well merge. BNU are already using Island Bays clubbies.

Not sure I agree with your conclusion that Olympic will take out the league easily, Norths & Wainui might have something to say about that.

North Welly and Wainui are good teams but the Greeks are in a diff class at the moment (with a quarter of the league gone).

For anyone following results, Petone 2-3 Miramar.

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

WU 3 - 2 LH. An absolute screamer scored by Craig Saunders (Centre Back) to win it.

He is my student coach at school.

Tell me about this screamer?
Permalink Permalink

he came out of the back line and had a couple of goes at controlling a bouncing ball when one WU player (who was fined for this) yelled shoot. 35-40 yards out, volley, bottom right corner. absolute bullet, ask anyone that was there. i was shocked.

Bit early to say that considering that Olympic coughed up a 2 goal lead against Norths in the last 20 minutes the other week.

I agree.

It's way to early to make assumptions like this, and im sure the boys know it as well.

But we do have the team capable of winning this league and if we continue to play the way we are, results will come our way, and teams will grovel at our feet.

Well maybe no the last part.

It will be interesting to see how the top 3 teams go against each other, could be a tight finish.
I guess the next 4 or 5 games will see if anyone gets a gap at the top.

I'm surprised the Olympic Cap 1 is so strong considering all the greeks seem to have left the club to play elsewhere..

Only if Kolic starts himself in goals, in an attempt to revive his player years.
