Olympic 2nds with another impressive result.

8-1 over Wainui.

Props.

Man that Olympic team sure is carving up.
Tough 1 nil loss for IB against Miramar.  Much improved performance for us so hopefully it's a sign we're finally on track to get our season going...

0-0 WU Petone. Tough to take for me but
I missed a pen so will suck it up.
Olympic the team to beat, bring it on.

Fuck this stupid game

Thought a draw was a pretty fair reflection. Both teams with chances.

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

bubbles beat wharf dreamers 4-0 at Wakefield. A deserved win. I was surprised by the quality that Olympic had. Some handy young players with pace. Should take out the league easily enough.

Wakefield is the home ground of IB,BNU and Olympic. They might as well merge. BNU are already using Island Bays clubbies.

Not sure I agree with your conclusion that Olympic will take out the league easily, Norths & Wainui might have something to say about that.

Not so much...

3-1 for Norths against BNU, keeping in touch with Olympic with a game in hand.

Of course both had chances, I'd go as far as saying we had a few more and a bit more possession. This is from the middle of the park though so call me bias if you please. Cheers anyway, and good luck

Smithy lives to fight another week following a draw with diamonds.  But it looks like some petone fans aren't happy with him in charge..... 2ndBest2010-05-02 19:31:32

we had a new young ref on the weekend who seems like he could be decent. Wasnt perfect (though I cant include booking me in that) - but didnt have his head up his arse like some refs

That's good to hear. I thought our ref was very good too, he didn't try to steal the show. Seamed fair to me anyway.

I thought ours was rubbish. One of those 'since Im carrying cards I may as well use them' types. He showed one of our lads the red and even our opposition was telling him to put it away.

Dreamers 4-3 over Nui. Was looking pretty bleak after Nui were 2-0 up and having the better of things. Second half a different story with Dreamers playing some great footy and coming back from 3-1 down with some cracking goals. Sam Buckle a revelation at cente back. Pedro not a revelation with the whistle. Nui seem a nice bunch and their coach is a good geezer.

i watched the whole wainui dreamers game. wainui seemed to have it under control. but the  second half was dominated by karori. last goal was pretty good keeper couldnt do anything about it. abit Gutting for wainui tho. oh and we missed a chance at 3-2 to go 4-2 up all he had to do was place it but he smashed it well over.Kingy2010-05-08 22:38:19

The artificial was awesome to play on, i thought. allows for a good flowing game with no 'rubbish pitch' excuse. good win for us over NW, and well deserved. think that puts us in second now with only olympic to play next week

Olympic 7 points clear atop of the league.

I must say i am enjoying the peacefulness that is the regional football forum on yellow fever so far this year.

Not much being said about Olympic, so ill throw in a word or two.

Quality.

Its got to the point where everythings been said, and everyone knows where theyre going to finish on the table at the end of the season. So now its going to be more about the fight for 2nd spot
