Poor effort from PC today. Lots of wasted chances even the centre back managed to miss an open goal. 2-1 to BN. Well done to them.

Our first game at our Home ground this season.
Seatoun dominate the game, with like 12 shots on goal and something like 70% procession. Yet Karori have like 2 shots and score on 1 of them.

So the game ended Seatoun 0 - Karori Irish 1.
Not a good day for the leaders (unless LH won).

Brooklyn 5 - 4 Seatoun.

A really fast flowing game in the wet conditions at the new turf at Te Whaea. With 2 of Brooklyn's goals coming in the first 5 minutes thanks to handballs in the box (Pens). The Turf is really good, after getting used to the bounce we were able to play a fast free passing game. The one down side is the light towers, in my opinion about 10 metres to short. Making the high kick hard to make out in the cross over point from light to dark (the game was at 6pm Friday).

Grudging by our score and the two Karori teams score (played right after on the turf) I would hate to be one of the lower teams and have to play LH Ballkickers on a turf like that when they are getting scores like that.

Another question. Has any other teams been able to train over the last few weeks?

We haven't had a training session since mid May. I was just asking to see what the grounds were like up in Porirua and the Hutt.

I see you just posted the draw for this coming week. I would be surprised if our game is even going to be on and if it is I am picking that it would be transferred, cause we have only had 1 game at Seatoun this year and that was a transfer to the ground.

I doubt we will play next week even more doubtful we play at seatoun as they have 2 games scheduled there. No game at Waihora scheduled.

Decent game over the weekend Yid. A draw was probably fair, although I'd say you probably had better opportunities. Our keeps made a few top saves which was great to see.

Yep couldn't agree more. You guys certainly have a big game coming up next week vs Ballkickers.

Well it was tough. With LH opening the scoring within 2 minutes of the start of the match, they kept attacking seeming to always have the ball. They should have also been up 2-zip at the half but for a miss from right in front (harder to miss than score) thanks to the mud for that one. So the half ended 1-0.

Then the half time team talk featuring the line that we are now playing down hill (Fraser park no.3), it had an effect since we scored 2 minutes into the half. We also started having shots on goal which didnt happen much in the first half. LH pulled ahead again soon afterwards. This lifted us as our midfield started to play like they did at the start of the season. We got the equaliser with about 20 to go. It was then that we pressed it home and got the winner 10 minutes from time.

It was lucky that no game played after us cause the pitch was a mess.

The miss was just incredible. Literally one metre out, open goal, and it was put wide, I actually felt sorry for the fella.

Given the conditions though, actually a good game of football. Helps not to be playing in the wind for once.

I'd be surprised if Fraser gets any use in the next 2-4 weeks, it was left in a disgraceful state, understandable given the rain.

Good match between PC & Karori Irish, hard fought (but clean) 2-1 win for PC. THought PC did more of the attacking but once again didn't make most of chances created. Any other Reportsnzyido2010-07-31 17:47:50

So the same game again for us next week. At least we should know who to watch now.
lucky that all three of us (big 3) aren't in the same pool. I hope we play each other in the last round, it did wonders for us last season in the cup when it was basically a semi final (a team who went up grades last year). Meaning LH get lazy in an easier pool and we fight it out in a tough game, so out of us who ever wins should beat LH (assuming they make it).

Seatoun 6 2 over unibrow. Game played in good nature, given that a third of the pitch u had to swim through. I'm hoping they're not planning on using miramar park for cricket season... I said a couple of weeks ago fraser was destroyed, but this is something else. Haven't played on a pitch that flooded since highschool in gizzy, where flooding didn't matter due to it being sandbased...

6-1 win for PC. Hard slog in the middle of a now ruined Waihora (although i imagine we will play there again this season). Hard to play passing football when trying to avoid puddles, mud & the opposition. Enough moaning I would rather play than not.

Thanks everyone for a great season. Bit of a shame that the season for most teams ended to soon, but hopefully the ground issues are sorted soon.

The cup final saw Seatoun successfully defend the cup, defeating LH Ballkickers 4 0 at the turf.
