looks like we will be having another weekend off!! Cant see how we will get the season finished now, could well go on 1st time we played against each other. which would be good for PC dont know how good that would be  for other teams.

That wouldn't be great for the Rods as we lost 6 of our first 8 matches! We're only coming right now

I think if they call it off early they'll just end it at 13 or 14 games and not try to 'make up' results.  I remember a couple of years ago we only played 16 games and the last two rounds were never accounted for.

I hate to think what Anderson Park will be like this weekend - to make things worse the changing rooms are undergoing renovations - last time we played there we had 30 guys trying to gret changed in the rain in an area the size of my bathroom!

Word on the street is that Capital Soccer are planning what to do with the rest of the season.  One of the options was that they "redo the program to play rounds that may help in confirming promotion" and I suspect that is what they will do.

We should hear later tomorrow.....

CAPITAL SOCCER'S plan for rest of the season

Senior Men - Capital 3-13 inclusive - we will first and foremost concentrate on completing one full round. In most divisions that will mean that another

1 or 2 games will need to be played. If more games can be played they will be. If at the conclusion of the season a league is incomplete (which is likely) winners and promotion/relegation spots will be determined as follows. If the final table shows teams in unassailable key positions (top and bottom so to speak) - the final table will stand. If the final table shows teams in top or bottom positions that could have been "caught" if the season had been able to be completed, the final positions and promotion/relegation spots shall be determined by the results of one complete first round

Unfortunately for us, that makes this week's game a relegation decider!  Even though we've won 3 and drawn 2 in the last 5 games, they were all 'second round' matches which means we lose Saturday, the Vauxhalls or Bombers win and we'll be playing Cap 14

That also hints to me that there will be no games after this one - if they can complete the first round then there's no point playing any more matches as the results won't matter.

Also, if they were so keen to get the first round of games completed, why didn't they count the results of the last set of games (as this week's fixture list is the same as the last one with only the home and away reversed?)

Thats what i was trying to ascertain from Cap footy yesterday they are looking at this round as being incomplete not sure if that means cap 13 or all div''s that havent played each other once. i would have thought that given we have played each team once and the way the weather is looking they may have to count our last fixtures as being 1st round

Lets face it, it makes sense.

(not that im biased

probably our last game of a very wet season. Good match today PC over FlamingO's 5-1. considering the conditions some good football played by PC. FlamingO's scored early on and kept pressure on during 1st half. PC led 2-1 at 1/2 time, made most of the weather conditions in 2nd half and kicked clear early on.

Bring on 2009.

I dont understand how the final table has been worked out PC only conceded 8 goals all season and yet the final table has us as 9 against. We beat the flamingos twice but surely only 1 would count. As far as i know they were there only loses apart from todays friendlies.

CAPITAL 13:
                             P  W  D  L  GF  GA  Pts
Porirua City           9  7  1  1  23   9  22

Is Bay Piglets         9  3  2  4  29  25  11
Uni Goldenrods      9  3  1  5  21  24  10

Is Bay Vauxhalls   9  2  1  6  20  34   7
Brooklyn Pints      9  2  0  7  16  44   6
seems a bit harsh on Brooklyn they have been out of relegation zone most season
