looks like all fixtures for grades 7-14 are being redone due to several teams dropping out of a number of grades. Way too close to kickoff for this to be simple.

 how is 6-1 scrappy?

It was a pretty physical game, Sinners just made the most of the opportunities at goal. From highs to lows at Newlands on Saturday where Stop Out out-passed, out-ran and thoroughly out-scored us.

Looks like top of the table clash shaping up to be the last game of the round werewolves vs the bombers. Thats a good result for you guys in the weekend over marist. Well done. We only got a draw out of them

Permalink Permalink

yeah we played out of ours skins in that Marist game - beat the Stokes Valley guys last night 4-2 to take the top spot until you lads play BNU on monday. The 1 v 2 game on Saturday is going to be cool, the last time we came out to your place (as Karori Rovers) we lost but enjoyed the game immensly. We are all looking forward to it.

Ended up being a pretty good game. You guys were a little bit unlucky that we hadnt all been out the night before as usual and we had our full squad there. The number 11 you have up front has speed to burn and caused us some problems. Good luck for the rest of the season and I hope we meet again. Thoroughly enjoyed playing against you guys

Permalink Permalink

yeah we felt the final result was quite a way off what it should have been, we were poor and didn't deserve to win, given 3 of your goals were to a very superior import we felt a little aggrieved. Especially when the ref allowed the retake of the free kick. WE still have a chacne if upper hutt beat marist but mid season promotion will be tough to gain. We should be div 13 next year though.

If your talking about the guy I think you are he has been with us most the season and is no import but your right he shouldnt be playing so low. His brother is in the team and that is why he is with us. He is also carrying a nasty injury and may never play football again hence why he only has a run for about 40 min.

Permalink Permalink

pretty certain it was the #4, he was well above anything div 14 has served up. The reason I question it is that he appeared to know none of the team at all, unless that's how you guys refer to each other - by jersey number.

Didnt hear any of that but feel free to protest if you like but think if you talk to the rest of the teams we have played this year and look at some of our results that would clear it up. We were actually praying we didnt get you on the turf at night as our mates the creeps told us when you played against them you had some really good players playing for you that didnt seem like they belonged in your team. Specifically mentioned something about a goaly who came out at halftime and made a big difference. To be fair though you guys do have some pretty good players so may of just been their imagination.

we've had four/five keepers this season so it's hard to kinow which one they got. No point in making any official complaint as from what I've heard your #4 had played as high as cental league but not this season. So in all likelyhood he's played for you guys all season.

end of round one and the results see Stop out and Marist move up to div 13 with the IBU Pak 'n' Save and the BNU lads heading down to div 15.

Div 14 welcomes from Div 15 the Wainui Roundballs and Seatoun as well as the Div 13 Wainui and Western Suburbs teams.

Is that confirmed?

I've heard a team has dropped out of cap11, which could change things a bit, Bombers could still be in for promotion?

Permalink Permalink

not confirmed only assumed given the results, still nothing on capital footy website, you could be right with the dropping of the div 11 team.

Well Raroa delivered a suitably muddy and sticky deck yesterday. 1-1 for the IB Bombers vs NW Sinners. Some big reesults in the league again. The NW Rovers smashing the NW Bombers 8-3, and Stokes Valley v Western Suburbs in a 11 goal thriller.
