Profile pic. Should you be interested. Lakhsen, on the right, lost touch with him.
Mohammed, on the left, I'm still in touch with. He's now living in Agadez, Niger. More focused on his animals now as tourism has dried up. Is active with a co-op promoting local goods, leather work and bijouterie, into Europe.

I've been told they weren't expecting to be playing so late in the season, so they have players unavailable

- which says lots for their pre-season confidence of making the playoffs I guess

a general comment about the amount of defaults recently- its not a good look for a sport that claims to be on the ascendence. A record amount of teams/players and yet some clubs can't scratch together all their teams week in week out, when some teams and players were sent away at the seasons start. Probably more prevalent in the lower grades but i believe if you commit to the season you should stick it out, and if you have to field a team filled with club players then so be it.

Think the overall percentage of defaults would be pretty small.

Listening to the All Sports Breakfast, as I do every Saturday, other sports have also been having defaults.  Common at this time of the season I think.

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

Good save - better than any Granville made all season

Question is: did Wharf get fined after Naenae were threatened with same fine the week before if they defaulted?

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

Why wouldn't they ?  Surely there wouldn't be any double standards in Capital football no matter what club has more members on the board.

So no compliants next season from Karori we they get hit with cancellations and dont get a full 18 games in.

Stop out be pleased to finish 4th instead of 6th.

I believe they are sick of playing at" that gem" Karori Park 3 !!!!! - defaulting a game  at this level is piss poor

So if it goes back to a Prem/Reserve league next year (no central league) Island Bay miss out as they would finish 5th. With Miramar in the top 4 Stop Out sneak in.... not saying thats gona happen but if it did the Bay would not be happy...food for thought

Funny thing... if Wharfies had maintained that cup run THE SAME PLAYERS would have been available this weekend. Wouldn't they????

I'm sure if Wharfies had lost last week they would've wanted to play this week to try and finish 2nd. By defaulting they are sh#tting on Upper Hutt and Island Bay.  You can't tell me that a club like  Wharfies can't cobble together 14 players from their top 3 teams. Wharfies = Joke.

I didn't know they gave away a trophy to the teams who finished 2nd 3rd 4th and 5th place. Settle down!

Leave Upper Hutt out of it, dropping one player is hardly sh*tting on the league.

Strange, I was speaking to their manager this morning and he told me that they wanted to play the game and they were very disappionted Karori defaulted.

I'm sure they did. Ok, lets take Island Bay and Upper Hutt out of the equation, it's still a poor decision. Instead of getting all defensive why don't you put your hand up and say, Yeah, we could do better.

When KCU finally became safe with 3 games to go do you reckon they should've defaulted the rest of their games?

How about the Stop Out lads who paid to play 18 games. You enter a league you commit to play out the season and not give up when you cant be arsed anymore. Saying Stop Out agreed to it is just a cop out as it was Karori that defaulted not Stop Out.

The Sinus is right - we could do better. Hard to argue otherwise. As partial defense at least ... if we hadnt had a game cancelled a fortnight ago bc the pitch had no lines then our season wouldnt have been dragged out this far (which is two or three weeks after some sides finished).

weather they agreed to it or not your club at the end of the day defaulted
you cannot defend it - simply not good enough.

dont know if your trying to defend yourself or the club but you sound like a complete dick  - which im sure most people on her would vouch otherwise.take it on the chin and move on.

Let's all take that advice.  This is going to go in circles forever otherwise.

Also I don't like being in a position where I agree with Nightz.  Makes me feel unwell.
