how about that wharfies gme. didn't even realise another team turned. k park a fortress. and don't know what the fuss bout this troy burling, he was flippin smaverage. mind you in a hiding like that the whole team looks smav. also i believe petone only beat them 3-2. questions have to be raised over the petone influence in the prem squad! im sure wingback and feverish would agree.

pfft mabey BNU goal was crap but hutt scored 2 good goals 1 well hit free kick at a crucial period of the game and a 2nd straight after from a good counter attack, lucky?? i guess we were lucky to do the double over karori as well haha

No luck Feverish!!!

BNU 1 Lower Hutt 2

At this stage of the season a win on Wakefield Park against anybody is impressive.
BNU played quite well but we took our chances during a period in the match when we dominated and that took the sting out of BNU.

Ur mate Buckle and DanToma played well but the youngsters stood up for the 4th straight week!!!

So if we can play that bad and still win we must be doing ok!!!

U better look out Feverish!!! Coz the Gren and Golds are breathing down ur neck...so be careful
with those potential banaskins pal!!!

Sounds like u boys did well and played some gud stuff vs the Hapless Upper Butt???

Well I was just trying to make you sweat by picking BNU - hope it worked. haha

yeah will be interseting to see who collects the minor medals. I'll have to assess the draw before I give you my final picks.

Do you still have to play UH?

I hate to say it Greeny but it almost did work. BNU had some good spells of pressure and created some good chances to score. Easty had his worst game of the season by far and proceeded to get dragged in the 85th minute haha!
Good on Brooklyn and good luck to anyone who still has to play them at wakefield on the run in, because thats gonna be a tough game and I wouldnt be suprised if they get a scalp before this season is done.

Greeny on the score sheet! we are still right behind you tho and will be an interesting weekend this weekend I think!

What a great competitive league!

Good to see brooklyn are still putting up a fight at the bottom  of the league. Shows the league is very competitive. Wakefield park is very communal, home ground for Brooklyn olympic 2nds and Island bay. Good on Mornington golf club for giving brooklyn a clubroom to go back to, thats close to the ground. :D not like Olympic.

Jimmy Hill is on fire for Wharfies up front. And their right mid has scored four in the last five..

4 goals for Jimmy Hill on the weekend is pretty good, especially to put the goals away in the crap conditions we have had.  Bobble bubble. Unlucky for Upper Hutt, they were hoping for a close match.

Did you play in that game Axeman? what happened to you guys? Didnt get a chance to watch the match as i was playing.

Yeah i played. We just didnt turn up. We couldnt even pass or even kick the ball. The ref was shocking for both teams. Defence let two easy goals in. The penlty was a shocker. Whafies deserved the win, as hard as its to say. The other two goals they got were well taken.

There has to be room in this team for Jimmy Hill.
6 goals in the last 2 weeks to go with his hat trick against Kapiti a few weeks back.
Considering he has missed 5 or 6 games hes scored a crazy amunt of goals.
He even scored against Petone

Should be a mint game, especially if it rains a lot this week, Wharfies have demolished every team in the wet this year.

the only style you can play in the wet is kick and chase.. i dont find that to interesting but wharfies must cuz they have been using it all season

who is thid johnson guy? is that the very tall centre back for wharfies? what about hill? i played them twice and they did not stand out, so not sure who they are? they may be good!wharfies should be doing alot beeter than results show wingback!with the experienced bunch of players you have, i feel you have under achieved!likewise island bay!i predicted you two teams would be toe to toe with petone??? suprise packet has to be lower hutts young team, they have definitely come of age, 5 wins out of six in the 2nd round, pretty impressive, but all the talk of the younsters! i think the 3 or 4 older heads in the team, especially in defence are the tough backbone of that side!shocked to see kcu beat wairarpa on sat, good on them!

lower hutt has no old heads just young dads... dont no the karori guys eitha no one stood out vs lower hutt

You can't argue with Hills goal scoring ability, he has out and out toe and finishes well with some good touches in between times... he's a 'must be' in the team of the year.

Karori Park is a fortress.... Petone will go down 2-1, you heard it here first

Yea well thats your opinion but he obviously hasnt shown up for a few games this year as I never noticed him when we played them and neither did axe-man when they played upper hutt. I spoke to a few mates from two other clubs who didnt know who he was so cant have played to well against them either. Still no room in my team as there are strikers in this league who perform in every game and therefor everyone knows who they are!

I was watching the balls go in. But it was like he was any good. Most all came from defensive errors. The last goal was good but the rest he was just in the right place at the right time.

He missed the first 5 games which is why he didn't play u guys the 1st time, and the 2nd time everyone played crap so couldn't get the ball to him.

And as for Axeman, well, hes just lost. A guy scores 4 goals against you and he still can't admit hes decent.

Seems like you guys need to do your homework better, the guy averages way over a goal a game, and you need to make more friends because if you talk to most teams they will tell you he ripped them apart.

I say Jimmy Hill and Whitmarsh up front.

ridiculous for sure.... being in the right place at the right time isn't a fluke! it's what all good strikers do!!

Yea i have to agree with wingback. Being a striker is being in the right spot at the right time and reading the game. Jimmy obviously picked the weakness in the defense and used it to his advantage. 4 goals in a game is pretty good.
