Chatham Cup 2015 - Napier City Rovers vs Eastern Suburbs
Such a dire game. Upper Hutt probably the marginally the better side.
Understatement.

I rate a headline that includes the word "niggly".
Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.
For anyone interested, I went to Bucklands Beach vs Ngongotaha on Saturday - write-up and photos here:

I really hope games are at times that not only don't clash with the Under 20s, but allows you to see more than one game.
wellington united vs wests might be a good one to watch but where will it be played??????
artificial???
real grass?
i hope on grass.
good sportsmanship and fair playing field is all we ask for
but all we get is talk and goal posts moving

Uniteds home game, so maybe at Newtown Park.

Quite a few weenixers will be tied up with NZU20 or U17s or HK7s. Wellington United Kindergarten may have to seek dispensation to play U16s in senior football; otherwise play their 2nd team? For those hoping for Phoenix Academy v Ole Academy, probably not a true test this time. On a related note, apparently there has never been a game between the 2 academies. Why is that?
Kotahitanga. We are one.

Why not a true test? As close as you're likely to get really, until Wests get into the new club-based national league.

Just thinking many of the best nixers will be away (six with 17s, plus HK7s plus U20s; all up a dozen?). I don't know who that leaves for selection, but it's a shame we won't see the best of the two academies. It would have been a cracking contest.
Kotahitanga. We are one.
Probably Wakefield then. Both sets of kids will be used to playing on turf, so I don't see the problem there.
Yellow Fever - Misery loves company
I don`t see where Hamilton Wanderers or North Shore names were pulled from the hat ??
Are they playing each other or do they both have byes ??
Who Knows ??

is newtown 2 in the U20 mix????
it has been upgraded i've been told for a few dollars even though Ernie Merrick is not happy with it as the rabbits still dig holes that are perfect to break ankles.
it would at least be a real playing field like newtown 1 and endeavour are and would make for a better game for both teams i feel.

Christchurch Results
ASB Chatham Cup
Cashmere Technical 6 (Sean O’Brien, Oscar Evans 2, Stu Kelly, Julyan Collett, Andy Barton) Halswell 1 (Boon Ozawa) HT 2 - 0 - Halswell had a player sent off with three of Tech's goal coming in last 5 minutes
Coastal Spirit 3 (Zac Gordan, Mason Safahi, Jos Lis) Selwyn 2 (Dan Ede 2) HT 2 - 1
Ferrymead Bays 3 (Chris Anderson, Mark Peers, own goal) Richmond Athletic 1 (Ben Harris) HT 1 - 0
Nomads 4 (Michael McColgan, Liam Thompson 3) Parklands 2 (Anthony McMann 2) Ht 0 - 1
Pretty average, predictable, round to come in Central. Most interest in the Nix United match against Wests but with Nix understrength I don't think it'll be an upset. Tense Hutt derby, but Petone should have too much while the Cap Prem 3v4 show down is interesting, especially being on the grass.
No Chatham Cup twitter action today? Everyone at the NZ game?

preview for the northern region which starts tomorrow.
Note 1 change as OMU have been removed for playing an ineligible player last round so I think Mangere now host Te Puke

No local football on days a town/city is hosting U20 match. So much happening. I only watched junior GG in this morning's game and skipped the 2 other local games I would have normally been at to watch televised U20 matches. And WWC starts in a week too.
Kotahitanga. We are one.

"I can't monitor everyone all the time!" More likely, they were on volunteering duty at Albany; or wondering how they are going to greet Sepp in a few week's time.

If I can tweet after a dozen beers then anyone can.

north Shore beat Hamilton Wanderers 1-0. In their last 9 Chatham Cup games, 8 have been away in Auckland.
What are the chances of that . Second year in a row we have played North Shore away and prior to that we play Birkenhead away two years in a row but it's a random draw .... yeah right
waiuku knocked out waitakere city...good start to Jake Butlers coaching career
