Birko 2-1 Shore. Bittersweet.

Three for me, and two for them.

match report Luis?

One of the best games of football I've ever seen in Nelson. Gagame Feni opened the scoring. Richmond replied thanks to star import Ben Wright. Richmond hit the post twice. Suburbs hit the ball in to the keeper after being one on one twice. Wes Olea scored the winner in the second half. Suburbs had their chances. Gagame went down injured and had to be carried off. Great result for Richmond!

Buffon, Who were you playing for? Dino102011-06-06 19:14:09

Play for Shore, transfer only went through this week so was ineligible (although don't think coach would of played me anyway vs my old club). Ended up watching the game with all my old mates from Birko. A lot of laughs during the 90.

Three for me, and two for them.

Weirdest score - must have gone behind early or had guys sent off; then chased the game maybe

Upper Hutt 2 (Matt Gasper, Brook Wate), Tawa 0.  Could have been a lot more!

Yep. Chinese year of the underdog?

What's sight without sound? Love without peace? Copulation without conception?

My lot out. Went down 2-0 to neighbours Hibs.
Shocking error from me to gift them the opener. Half made up for it with a peno save 2nd half but it was a bit late by then.
We hit the bar and had numerous chances to score but couldn't capitalise.

Be interesting to see the draw next round with all clubs included.

Does it go national at QF stage?

Er, no, Buffon II.

It goes national a round earlier this year, so the sixteen winners of the ties drawn tomorrow on Radio Sport's "On The Ball" show with Miles and Yatesy will have less than a fortnight to sort out their travel plans if the draw sends them on the road to pastures new.

Cheers,

They said that last year too, and the year before, and the year before.

It'll go national at the QF stage.

Three for me, and two for them.

It goes National at round 4 games to be played on 2nd or 3rd July. Still have round 3 to play on 18th/19th June. So yes only two weeks if you have a trip inter Island. Book now with a travel agent to get the best rates for several centres then you can still cancel at no cost if knocked out.

Hard to book until you know who you're playing and they can't do the draw until after the previous round.

Admittadly they said National at 4th Round last year and the only thing they did was put Mainland and Footballsouth together.

I suspect the exact same will happen this year otagofan. I know it says on the NZ Football website it goes national at the Round of 16 but it's bollocks. No Northern teams will draw Central or Southern teams until at least the Quarters.

Three for me, and two for them.

Mr Blobby. Thanks for the reply but read post again.
Book several centres then confirm to your travel agent which is required if you get an away game.
That's the reason to use agents then can book space at todays price without paying upfront.

Northern Region

Birkenhead United v Melville United

Waitakere City v Takapuna

Westlake Boys v Waitemata

Hamilton Wanderers v Manurewa

East Coast Bays v Onehunga Sports

Glenfield Rovers v Three Kings United

Forest Hill Milford v Central United

Rest of them, after the ad break. Glenfield vs TKU looks like the pick of the bunch.

Richmond v Coastal Spirit will be a beauty! These two kicked lumps out of each other in the MPL playoffs at the end of last season. Richmond led the tie 4-2 going into the second match where Coastal scored 3 goals in the final 15 minutes. Definitely a lot of passion in this tie!

I think it means they end up playing each other on consecutive weekends as well. Both as newtown i believe. Should be highly entertaining

Last year was exactly the same [along with us drawing and beating Olympic again] except both games were at Harcourt park last year, United winning the Cup game, Hutt winning the League one..

You would have to think both teams would sacrifice the cup game for a league win though?

I'll bite. Stop Out to beat Napier CR!!!!
Profile pic. Should you be interested. Lakhsen, on the right, lost touch with him.
Mohammed, on the left, I'm still in touch with. He's now living in Agadez, Niger. More focused on his animals now as tourism has dried up. Is active with a co-op promoting local goods, leather work and bijouterie, into Europe.

My picks for the northern section above in bold. Can't see there being too many upsets. Not too sure on the Westlake v Waitemata game, may be a close one.
The Bay will crush Hibs, 5-0 prediction.

I think Birko, Taka, Westlake and Rewa all have an excellent chance of going through.

Three for me, and two for them.

The fact Birko are at home would be the big factor in their favour. Melville have a lot of class though. I watched them beat Central 6-1 at Hamilton and if they play half as well as they did that day then Birko will be no match for them.

I haven't seen Taka this year but Waitak with their ASB Prem guys playing I thought would be too
strong, they looked solid before they came in.

I've seen neither Rewa or Wanderers play this season but tough trip away to play in Ham, would think Wanderers would get up for that one.

Whatever happens it should be intriguing, I'm enjoying the Cup alot this year.

Both chch sides to get rolled over by 4 or 5 nil by dunedin tech and cavy, dunedin sides have been far better than mainland sides over the past few years. Those two results are givens

Agree with the cavy result but not so sure about tech away in christchurch, they dont really have a plan B if their long balls dont work and they struggled in the last round only winning 2-1

Chch teams are notoriously sh*te, techs long ball to win through on the day

I believe that the Christchurch United verses Dunedin Technical tie will be played at Rolleston, United still without a 'home' since the Feb quake.
