The mighty Cup kicks off tomorrow, if i didnt have a game i wouldnt mind watching the Pori vs Coll match up.

Who thinks the winner of the Chatham cup should get a star on their emblem everytime they win? (like the world cup). I reckon that would be cool

Hi All,

Due to the number of clubs that have entered the 2011 ASB Chatham Cup from Central Football and with the two Federations combining from the second round we have had to have a 9 7 split.

What this means is that we now only need the one preliminary match.  All other non Central League teams will play on the 25th of April with the winners joining the 6 Central League teams who will compete on the 14/15 May.  Miramar Rangers as holders of the Cup will get direct entry into the second round joining the eight winning teams from round 1.

Porirua City

v

Wellington College

Onepoto (2pm)

Isn't it a bit early for the Chatham Cup? How did the match go? Apart from the landslide goaline, any standout players from both teams? How did both teams play?

Landslide score wasn't helped by Porirua red card ! Score was 3 1 when that happened.
Coll ran riot after this with their extra man and extra fitness

No standouts really but a good team effort from the schoolboys

Is there anyone else from Capital not mentioned, a fixture that has just been missed? Or maybe someone from up the line defaulted after the draw was made? Either that or we're just not playing AJ132011-03-30 15:43:56

why does this draw not surprise me.

You would think it's all legit, our club captain was there and if there was any funny business I would have hoped for a better draw than Upper Hutt.

Interesting Qualification round. Greytown v Waikanae would be an interesting one. Paekak vs KCU also, if Paekak is made up of ex KCU players, and the Eastbourne v Wellington United on the 50 x 30 pitch....ha ha

I think the Paekak team entered will be the Horowhenua version, as opposed to the Cap 3 side. It's complecated.

wellington united won't know what to do at bishop. I predict they remove two players so they don't get so confused at the lack of space and still win 10-1, the one goal coming from a full field deflection

first game of the season 11-0

should be a great force this year

Yeah but how strongs the competition down there? It'll be a hollow victory for whoever wins the final knowing that BNU never took part.

Im up in Rotovegas for the Easter break and so will take the opportunity to catch the local cup derby-Ngongotaha vs. Rotorua Utd- I used to play for both, so split loyalties, but The Villagers play in Oranje so ill go with them

Makes up for missing the Oranje derby in Wellies- Eastbourne vs Utd

Stop Out 4 - Naenae 0.

Naenae down to 10 men with 20 to go after I decided to show our goalkeeper how to really make a goalline save - albeit with my chest but the linesman even with no-one appealing from the other team and the ref continuing play - flags the ref over and decides my big chest contained a part of my arm that was deemed worthy of a straight red. Stunned.
