How good is that 2 days with no #Steineken and just tasted the first to find I have switched games around. Comment above is totally irrelevant . My apologies Sir. Won't comeback until #3 is drawn.  Sobriety is so over rated

Back with egg on face.

But I think Wainui have more chance of rolling Shark Bay than Tawa knocking over The Wharf.

Wainui are very poor though

Wainui have muskil - Hunga and a reputation to uphold.

And nothing to loose.

Depends which way the ref calls it. If he stops them trying to play that other sport they have no chance.

My picks on the Nui... play there best football when they ve got nothing to lose calling 2-1

News Flash- Chatham Cup tie between Burwood and Cashmere Technical may not be at Clare Park. Hear workers have driven trucks on pitch and have dug  hole in front of one of the goals.

Played at Clare Park today. She'd just been cut and damage was pretty minimal. Pitch was actually a lot better than normal. Just a couple of light-ish tyre tracks in one of the 6 yard boxes. Reckon the match will go ahead no worries.

Glory years at the Nui!

There would have been at least 500, probably closer to 1000 watching at Richard Prouse Park that day.

Pretty sure Ralph Chennery played that day for Wainui . He is still playing (in goal nowadays) and has just brought up his 400th game for the club.

Christchurch were in the National League at that stage , and had Alan Stroud in goal and Mike McGary playing for them.

Stroudy still playing in goal for Coastal Spirit FC masters team and McGarry just retired this season.

Runs an Irish pub in CHCH too does Stroudy. Living the dream.

Saw a guy @ Kiwitea wearing a black & yellow stripey with STROUDY on his back at Central v Glenfield Rovers NPL today.

I'll take my chance because luck is on my side or something...

Her name is Rio, she don't need to understand...

Oh Rio, Rio, hear them shout across the land..."

Wharf 1 Tawa 3. Home side (Karori) deserved their 1-0 lead at the break, but Tawa scored two goals early in the second half and then added another toward the end.

Tawa karori game of two halves. Karori should have had it won after 50mins, but let tawa in and got punished. Tawa looked a different side in the second half.

Went to watch Glenfield V Western Suburbs. Was a pretty boring game. Glenfield looked average but got through 2-1.

Last I herd ECB were in extra time

Was at Stokes Valley vs Lower Hutt game and it finished 1-4. LH was all over them and really should of put away more, will struggle against better opposition. Stokes Valley goal came in 89th minute from a clear penalty. Referee was terrible in the game and really had no control as tackles started to get worse and worse.

On a lighter note, this is one of the best beards I've seen on a football field!

Eastern Suburbs. And Glenfield are average.

Birko 4-0 over OMU. Jarrod Smith with a sublime volley one of the best cup goals i've ever seen. Ref and lino's were abysmal.

Three for me, and two for them.

Yep, was nothing more than a stroll in the sun for Cash tech, 9 zip in the end i believe. Aerial dominance really came to the fore in the second half with 4 goals from corners. Burwood tried hard and never gave in but class prevailed from very early on

5-4 to Rovers in extra time over Olympic-probably one of the most thrilling club games I've ever seen-go to #NCRvOLY for 'real time' updates

Sounds like rubbish defending.

Three for me, and two for them.

Heartily agree Salmon - the game had penalties ( 1 saved by Olympic), yellow cards, interesting refereeing, extra time, red card after fulltime whistle (Probert from Olympic I think), good vocal crowd and perfect weather.

Game will go down as one of the better ones for NCR

What happens next round? Must be a bigger regional one?

Bitta both. Has started at left back early in the season and has now been pushed forward.
