What a save from Basalaj! But off his line. Insane.

But saves it again second time round.

Congrats Olympic, a tight final that you could argue either deserved to win.

Tracey gonna be kicking himself for jumping over Hoy's awful penalty.

Singing I-I-Iffy, I-I-Iffy, I-I-Iffy Iffy-I

Chatham Cup back to back with 2 different clubs is impressive.

Congrats Olympic

It's good to see the 2 best teams in the country being so evenly matched, should hopefully bode well for a tightly contested National League over the next few months

You mean we will see a fourth Olympic-City final within the last three seasons of domestic football?

Boring.

Three for me, and two for them.

Random thoughts:
Basalaj and Mata have got chuuuuunky.
That was a really poor OG from Lobo. He was all at sea there, not "unlucky".
I thought the ACFC offside call was correct at first look, but not subsequent viewings.
Ukich didn't do anything to impress until he scored his very well-taken header. Not sure how he won the trophy.
Isa Prins- is he always that good? That's the first time I have seen him.....great going forward, and tracked back in defense. He looked like a player, playah.
ACFC to get destroyed in World Club thing.

Basalaj and Mata have been like that for a few seasons. Makes you wonder how good they could've been in a proper pro environment from a young age, Mata in particular makes everything look so effortless.

De Vries was definitely offside in the build up to Tieku's disallowed goal.

Ukich was City's main threat the whole game, gave Roubos the runaround, although Roubos obviously isnt opposed to a run around! Kid is rapid.

Prins is quality, has come on a long way this season although also seems to have a clumsy challenge or wee brain explosion in his locker at times. He's good though, I hope he can get a chance at a higher level, wherever that may be.

Unfortunately Auckland City's style of play doesn't make for an exciting match but Olympic did a pretty good job of nullifying them.

Well I thought it was a good game from 2 evenly matched sides and I'm a neutral. Auckland City can be hard to watch at times but they are a hell of a lot more direct than in Ramons day.
Thought Mata was immense and was probably carrying an injury and did a good job on De Vries who is Citys main man. De Vries often came deep and mata followed him.
Was sitting around a few City supporters - they don't lose well.
Pretty good penalty from 17 year old Ukich in the shoot out. Understand he got MOM -probably fair enough.
JHS faded out of the game and missed a sitter later on . Bouzoukis anonymous.
Auckland City not as formidabe as previous years. Really go miss Howieson and Gillion.
On a negative note I am a bit of an Anorak and am probably living in the past but the lack of a programme was a disgrace and a lack of respect for the biggest occasion in NZ domestic football. Even clubs in the Northern League Championship produce a programme and many clubs in the Northern Premier do both a digital and hard copy one. The team line ups were announced in a quiet voice and put on the big screen momentarily in small print. Not being familiar with a lot of the Olympic players I had no idea who some were.Could have at least done a digital one. NZF have plenty of staff.r Guess you can't expect more from the corporate types who run the game.
Wonder what happened to the Olympic fan who ran on the pitch at the final whilstle. saw him being led off in an armlock by one of the Red Badge guys.
Was a good game after the awful womens final previously

The NZ Football Twitter gave a link to the programmes in early afternoon before the KS Cup match

Sounds like when Skipe Ukich turns 18 next January, he will sign a pro deal somewhere in Europe. Good money on a Croatian club you'd think.

Interesting, had seen comments saying Auckland FC should have been trying to get him but probably better for him to head overseas.
I'm an optimistic pessimist.
I'm positive things will go wrong.

Have to assume the only reason he wouldn't have signed on in the A-League is a better prospect overseas.

Croatian heritage, and he spent some time at one of the clubs there. Last year I think?

Wouldn't surprise if he was brought up supporting Dinamo Zagreb, or another major Croat club. And maybe he's been offered a contract at one of the big club academies there, pending him turning 18. As a nation they do well above their size football wise, so their academies likely well organised??

That's of course if it is Croatia. May not be.

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.
