Royals score twice in the second half of extra time to clutch the win. Disappointed the boys weren’t able to win but that was a great game, so many chances early and late from both sides and the Northern fans became active support with chants and plenty of noise.
Dunedin City Royals will go on to play Wānaka in the ro16

From memory, it seems to be open for the South Island. So Dunedin City Royals could play Christchurch United, Nelson Suburbs and Wānaka.
So the confirmed teams through to the Quarter Finals are:
Fencibles United Nelson Suburbs Christchurch United Eastern Suburbs Western Suburbs Auckland United Birkenhead United Wellington Olympic
Quarter Finals matches will be played on the weekend of 25-27 July.
Not sure when the draw will be but it is an open draw from the Quarters so no longer regionally based - anyone can play anyone (Personally want a Western Suburbs vs Eastern Suburbs match up as I think that'd be funny!)

Chatham Cup quarter-finals - Fencibles United v Eastern Suburbs - Western Suburbs v Wellington Olympic - Christchurch United v Auckland United - Nelson Suburbs v Birkenhead United
Chatham Cup quarter-finals - Fencibles United v Eastern Suburbs - Western Suburbs v Wellington Olympic - Christchurch United v Auckland United - Nelson Suburbs v Birkenhead United
The three Suburbs' avoid each other.
Chch Utd vs Auckland Utd looks the most exciting match up to me
Nelson Suburbs and Fencibles are the two left in the Chatham Cup who've never won it before (and Auckland United if you don't count their foundation clubs)
Still a chance that either Auckland Utd or Eastern Suburbs do the CC/KSC doublehttps://t.co/f1cgtrujub

Wests v Olympic will be tasty too, and Fencibles just upset Springs. Nelson are very good at home too, beat Cash Tech earlier this season there.
Four good ties it looks like! Should make for some cracking games.
Was scoreless at half time between Nelson Suburbs and Birkenhead United but Birkenhead went 1 - up with Suburbs then hitting back so locked up 1 - 1 after 80 minutes.
Just posted this in the Kate Sheppard Cup thread as well.
The Chatham Cup Final is officially announced to be played at North Harbour Stadium (No surprises there) along with the Kate Sheppard Cup Final on September 7.
Match order hasn't been decided yet (I guess in case no Auckland team makes the Chatham Cup final, then they can put that as the curtain raiser to the Women's match) but the first match will be at 1pm and the second at 4pm.
