Indeed.  NHS have the hump with NZF over the November 14th game can't see them justifying sending the Chatham Cup final here.

I also thought that the game being played at North Harbour was a done deal till I read the following on NZF website:

The final on September 19 or 20 is likely to be played at North Harbour Stadium unless a move to Wellington will facilitate television coverage of the winter football showpiece.

Wonder what the chances of that happening are?

So does that mean if it is at NHS there won't be tv coverage.

maybe some nepotism toward a certain keeper might pull some strings

Me too. There's some bright red ones on the other website, but not quite the same. Shame really.

Am amused by the comments that 3 kings outclassed Miramar. Relistically with some better finishing the game could have been out of reach for 3 Kings by half time .
Three kings most certainly did not out class Miramar although most certainly did out pace them until jacob mathews went off at the start of the second half
two turning points were :
1. marshalls courage in subbing the Centre back after 25 minutes - he was getting roasted by Halstead and rowe.
2. Blatant penalty to Miramar after 1/2 an hour  when the GK took out Barron. Personally I think O'Leary bottled it as if he had given the penalty then he would have send the keeper off. However he did fail to give 3 Kings a penalty shortly after for a clumsy challenge by farrington. Think he evened things up there. Aside from that he had a generally good game as conditions were difficult.
Once 3 Kings equalised then there was plenty of action but Miramar squandered a number of chances and the ball would just not go in and 3 kings were dangerous on the counter attack.
John Camerons after match speech was initially not well received by a couple of idiots in the clubrooms but after they heard it all I think they realised it was dignified and honest
Points are spot on
I did find it a little amusing that the Miramar players did not seem to handle the wind and the rain all that well

any news this morning on the venue for the final? no one has spoken to us (the stadium) about it which you'd think would be fairly important in regards to the decision. maybe that means it's going to be at North Harbour??

Fuck this stupid game

Maybe they're not using the stadium for the final. Perhaps Newtown is the better option considering there will be an expected crowd size of approx 3-4k (can Newtown handle that many?)

Its no longer a problem.

Probably not. 2k is probably pushing it at Newtown I think. I thought the reason for having it in Wellington/Westpac Stadium rather than NHS was because 1) it will be televised here (it won't be at NHS) and 2) we'd get a good crowd with the Phoenix game before hand. Or am i wrong?

Fuck this stupid game

the only reason for it going to wellington is for the tv coverage and if they cant get that then it will be at NHS....well thats my understanding of it

go gunners

There's a lot of logistical issues going against a Westpac final so i'd say NHS will get it but I'd like to see it here. It would have to be played after the phoenix game if it was played at Westpac and I dunno if the phoenix would like to be the "curtain raiser". There's also issues with all the A League sponsor signage being up around the ground.

Fuck this stupid game
