So the Big Cup final not to be televised this year. NZF had no money last year and televised it then, all the money this year and no go. What's with that?

Fuck this stupid game

Same old situation.  Sky says they won't show it.  WE complain.  They end up showing it and get praise for doing so.

according to skywatch magazine

2:30pm live rugby SS1
2:00pm live rugby league show SS2
11:30am till 3:30pm live motorsport nascar SS3

so unless they cut the motorsport coverage doesn't look like sky will show the game live.

Would be interested in meeting up with any forumers who'll be going to the Cup match. Maybe even getting a lift from the Mt Albert area (considering that that's on the way between the Bay Olympic clubrooms and NHS ;)

Come on Sky. Football is just coming off the peak of a bumper 12 months in this country. Popularity is at an all time high. And this is the public's chance to see real grassroots players playing for one of NZ football's most coveted prizes. For most kiwi players, this is what football is all about, because the Chatham cup is a competition that their own club takes part in. There's a personal connection to it.

To see that there is grassroots coverage of rugby on a weekly basis (which is a good thing) and then to completely ignore the pinnacle of club football in New Zealand after our international success is such a monumental step backward and, quite frankly, a disgrace.

Bay Oly have been in sh*t form lately. Pretty much haven't won a league game since the fall of the Berlin Wall.

Three for me, and two for them.

Does someone have a link to live commentary for the chatham cup final?
I've gone to radiosport website, but all I can hear is Murray Deaker.

Having said that Bay are starting to get through to the box without much trouble. So am expecting it to swing the other easy in the second half.

Two big chances for Bay and a yellow a piece for some niggle.

Miramar have finally woken up but are subject to a fair bit of attack.
Were lucky nit to give sway a penalty looked like hand ball.

Left back for Bay, There captain got done all day. Too slow. Just got back from the game. Pretty entertaining game though, Don't really understand why that guy got subbed in the first half.

Other then that I think Mar were the better team, They looked a lot more fitter and faster. Bay had a few decent players but they looked like they had a few 2 many beers last night.

Not a bad crowd either.

Sounds like it was an amazing game but trust the f**king media to leave this sh*t on the back burner. In fact all this game got on 3news was about a 5 second mention at the end of sports news before the weather, they didnt even mention it was football either so 99% of people watching wouldnt have had a clue what they were on about.

Ross was carrying a knock. Game was going on around him too, so he obviously wasn't coping with it too well. Thats why they subbed him. That guy is boss.

Miramar just tactically better, and much more clinical. Strom (who had a really strong game) missed a pen with 15 minutes to go which could've pulled it back to 3-2.. Bay pushed hard and tried hard but, in the end, Miramar were worthy winners on the day. Fitter, faster...

Agree with NHpeter, the Bay left back was just getting rasted every time and was responsible for the third goal. You could see the goal coming though, Bay were running out of ideas and Miramar were looking dangerous.

Booing at the end wasn't very charitable as it was all played in good spirit and Bay were beaten by a better team. Really enjoyable game though. Congrats to Miramar!

At least that Ross guy was taking some good shots. I didn't think he needed to be subbed tbh.
He threw his toys in when he did haha.
