Miramar and O have along history and the games are very competitive. The crowds are some of the biggest in WGTN. So go and see this one its a must

Personally I believe the ref's in Wellington are biased towards Barry Lewis. From someone that has played with Barry some of the decisions he gets are sh*t. I truelly hope Olympic stuff Miramar this weekend, and on that point I hope both Olympic and Miramar supporters show this much passion and support to the Phoenix. Would love to still be in Wellington to foolw the mighty yellow.

i dont think olympic personally has a long history, i think we were established in 1954 or something but i think what the big boy was talkin about was that olympic and miramar have a traditional rivalry that isnt matched at all by any other in wellington. the history being the rivalry

Well it will be interesting to see what Olympic blame this time about this game.

I'd blame the conditions if I was them

Physical game today, as to be expected when these two teams play each other. Miramar did indeed deserve to win, but it would have been a MUCH better game if the conditions were dry. I can't believe you guys approve of the ref's performance.. it was shocking. There was a blatant handball in Miramar's goalbox, but there seems to be a ban on giving Olympic penalties these days.

I think the ref was giving olympic a whole lot more than Miramar.Olympic did well on here all week to help with that.

Dougs got it right, i dont think the ref favoured Miramar too much anyway.

I think we had spells in where we should of put away one or two.

Graham little, Wiremu Patric,Craig Alderdice,Peter halsted and those are only the NL players out.

wow roy, thats a good size call... the depth at olympic this year isnt all to great, unlike miramar who do have a strong outfit no matter which way you look at it. so even though they had these players out i would def say that the likes of raf, barrylewis and shaun easthope would walk into miramars first team any day and to lose these boys for this game was a major blow, we just dont have the quality this year but for for you to say that dicey is a better player than the likes of barry lewis is ludicrous! onto the game, olympic were f**kin sh*te in the first half and we were lucky to go in at halftime 1-1 a very well taken goal by neonakis out of nothing. but in all honesty i think the second half was a lot better by the boys, i think we got into the game and started dictating alittle more play. in the end miramar show their steel, last 20 minutes in both games we have played they have scored two goals. and thats how it went... we got a young team this year and at the beginning of the year the goal was to avoid relegation, hopefully we succeed with that haha jesus!! we buckled a little bit in the last 20 again, the second goal was well taken by butterfield, they stretched us and went wide, woodside bets the leftback crosses it, deffelction out to butters and see ya later olympics dreams of chatham cup!! the third was f**kin poxy though but thats that.

Hmmm yes Olympic vs Wests is always a good hard contest - I think Wests will prevail if they hold there steel and as with every other team who plays Olympic, does not get caught up with the fanatical banter (probably the most vocal fanatical supporters around - intended as a positive) and focus on the game. Interesting that not many Wests fans comment on the messgae boards), but Wests have quietly been going around there business without too much hoo-haa which I suggest is working to their advantage. They too have lost some good players and recruited well with a good mix of experienced players and youngsters coming through chomping at the bit to get a chance with the 1st team - e.g. Marco, who has been in great early form, can't even find space on the bench and still doing it in the 2nds and a number of 17 year olds patiently biding there time. So could be a good year for Wests but hey thats been said before.... and they play Marist this afternoon for the Chatham Cup - could Marist be the GIANT KILLERS????? Time will tell.....

Had to go to womens footy today.  Will try and video the friday game at Porirua Park.

The ref did not favour Olympic, thats the worst call all season. Like Aekara said Miramar have depth, Olympic do not so to us without lose 3 players there was really no shadow of a doubt of a miramar win.

 The Ref had his hands full from all at times but like most of us he can not see all at once. Each side will have a differrent view on every decission. But Miramar had the most ball and better chances but did not take them. The O  goal looked like  MR defenders got in each other way and then left it to the other guy.  But like all  MR + O  battles it was a good one.
