Eastbourne FC seeking players

Hi there,

We are seeking players for our First Team, which plays in Capital 5.

We are a small but fun Club - we play our home games at beautiful Bishop Park, next to the beach, and we love going for a beer at the Life Boat afterwards (cheap pints for Club members on game day)!

If you're new to the Wellington football scene, or if you are wanting to try something new (maybe your Club has run out brown envelopes or you're sick of your old team mates), get in touch with:

Kenny: 029 776 50 30

or

Juliano: 021 86 72 56

We also carpool from town each week, so if you don't have a car you can get a ride easily.

We will be playing friendlies most weeks until the beginning of the season, so this might be a good chance for you to see how you fit into the team!

Cheers

You're criticizing my spelling? Seriously? I've been to your classes (once or twice) and I'd think about it twice before bringing up anything to do with spelling!

Been a few years since I played there and damn near had Hypothermia. Is that big tree that overhangs the pitch still there?

So it would suit anyone who doesn't have the legs for a real pitch?

Why do you think I switched clubs?
Most players as they get older just play at the back - instead I prefer playing on smaller fields.
If I keep going like this I'll be playing "jerky ball" in 3-4 years (2v2 - there is actually a National league called that in Italy!)

Hey mate, actually we lost 2 players from injury on Saturday (hammie, broken nose) and squad is looking good but a bit thin.

Wanna get in touch with me 021 86 72 56 (Juliano) today?

We are actually training tonight if you're keen... drop us a line

Cheers

You guys interested in having an Auckland Supporters Club? Of one? I'm on this thread (see above). Used to live Mahina Bay. Every time I hit Wngtn I catch the Dom Post ferry ova to Days Bay and back for some sea air if not a swim before hitting assorted Welly hostelries, dives  & fleshpots.

Be good to catch a game next time I'm down.

Hey I'm moving up in about 3 weeks if you still need any players. Would need a ride for the city though.

Sorry I have no idea what you are talking about? Unless you think I'm David Mulligan?

If you are then you might want to try a club with a reserve team

Hey mate, we love one-man fan Club. I'm not sure if you know, but our Eastbourne Fan Club is also made up of a single guy, so you'd fit right in! :)
Be nice to catch up for a beer at the Life Boat when you're in town after the game. We could give you preferential treatment, you could meet the players, go into the sheds, visit the facilities and even dine with us...pretty special eh! :D

Hi Marshy,
of course - we always have a car or two going up for training and games from town so absolutely.
Wanna drop me a PVT closer to the time to exchange details etc?

Cool. Next time I'm in town I'll hit the Bish. And the Life Boat afterwards. Might give the sheds a miss. Meanwhile, post results, transfers, gossip, dramas, yeah?

Excellent. Btw do you guys have a nickname? Seagulls? Shags? Shaggers? Oranjies? Jerkies?  Now that I'm in the Club would be good to know.

Sorry mate. Paul Marshall (Marshy) is the (very vociferous & possibly doomed) coach of Waitakerie Utd.

NZP - is there anyone at the club (captain/coach maybe) that would be interested in chatting to me next week about the Chatham Cup.  For a small audio interview for the podcast.

Permalink Permalink

Yeah I can ask. We do have a coach so he may be interested. Will ask him.
