Rumour alert:

Apparently all grounds need to be handed back to the councils by 3rd September.

Capital Football say they are still committed to a 4 match cup comp (3 pools games, followed by a playoff).

However they are considering shelving it in and replacing it with 2 or 3 friendlies, whereby the top teams from each div play the lowest teams from the league above and the others play within their league.

Soooo, if thats vaguely accurate (unlikely), can anyone tell me why they dont revert to a good old fashioned knock out cup with the draw done at random?

This will result in a 3 week cup round rather than the planned 4 week one

Havent Capital Football already advised clubs that the season is likely to run into the weekend of 10th/11th of September so I doubt grounds will be "handed back" by the 3rd.
