Today's scorer's:
Christchurch United 5 (Shogo Osawa 3, Joel Stevens, Oliver van Rijssel) Universities of Canterbury 0 HT 2 - 0

Coastal Spirit 2 (Hugo Feng, Aiden van der Kroon) Oxford 0 HT 1 - 0

Ferrymead Bay 8 (Omar Cameron 4, James Deehan 2, Rhys Williams 2) Burwood 0 HT 3 - 0

Halswell 2 (Harri Rowe, Luke White) FC Twenty 11 1 (Jon Inwood) HT 1 - 1

Nomads 14 (Harry Bushell 3, Angus McIntyre 3, Copper Goldsmith 2, Memphis Vaszilyko, Luca McLeod-Watts, Will McKee, Thomas Stewart, Joshua Litt, own goal) Parklands 0 HT 8 - 0

St Albans Shirley 0 Waimak 1 (Lucas Reid) HT 0 - 1

Selwyn 2 (Lua Otaki, Jamie Carrodus) Western 3 (Nic King, Robin Hodson-Seel, Daniel Steffert) HT 0 - 1.

Western (who have won the cup the most) causing the upset when knocking out Selwyn.

Interesting to see that Halswell's opening scorer was Harri Rowe, who had been FC Twenty 11 keeper in the previous two seasons - Harri was playing out field, with the Hawks needing a stoppage time goal to avoid extra time.

Nomads 14 - 0 results over Parklands, the biggest winning margin this decade on the Cup.

Games go to extra time or straight to pens? People I talked to were saying pens. I have no idea.

Harri has been outfield for Halswell this season.

Prelims, Round 1 and Quarters go straight to pens, while Semis and Final have extra time.

Barely 2 mins away from going to pens is gutting

Nomads v Bays the only one you'd expect to be close. A bit of a shame the three CPL teams happen to draw the top three sides.

So Waimak v Coastal is on the schedule for both Cups, could be tough games for the under performing Waimak side this season.

It's as simple as this - they've been able to put away teams below them, bar losses to Tech and Bays. Have beaten Nelson (3rd) and Nomads (4th) who other teams expected to be competing have slipped up to, like Tech.

Plus Coastal haven't played United yet. Will drop to 3rd if they lose that and Nelson win.

What a game! Three added time goals, wow.
Tyndall 90+4' CT 3-2 West
Boomer 90+4' CT 3-3 West
Burge 90+6' CT 4-3 West

Jesse Burge's winner was so late that the ref blew for full-time without even waiting for kickoff to be taken

As an aside, the three games many probably thought would be blowouts between the three big Southern League teams and the only three CPL teams ended up narrow affairs.
Waimak 0-0 Coastal (Waimak win on pens)
Chch Utd 1-0 Halswell Utd
Cash Tech 4-3 Western

That is the second time today I have heard this.

During the draw, which can be seen in Mainland Football YouTube channel, they should have stated the number shown on the balls drawn referred to the winner of each of the quarter-finals in the order that they were played and or had a list on the wall behind them
1. Waimak
2. ChCh United
3. Cashmere Technical
4. Ferrymead Bays / Nomads

This would have stopped any talk of 'rigging'.
