Understandably welnix want cost neutral, but how likely is it if "club" based in NSW, it gains a following? Would NZF really part fund?

How many of the current W-League teams have a following? Apart from the usual "families and friends of players"

doesn’t seem like much has changed in the past decade. Nix are keen but don’t want to pay for it - which comes back to NZFs desire.

Anyone know who the two clubs are that want to enter teams into Prems this year, guess one will be NW.

NZF sure as shark can't pay for it. Watch this space for more detail/exploration of where things stand this week.

Surely it shouldn't be 'optional' or it undermines the integrity of the competition does it not?

We have been approached by two clubs who wish to enter the Capital Women’s Premier competition. Before we take this any further, we wanted to see if there was any interest from other clubs that may wish to enter this division.

This is as well as Petone and IBU, looking at table would suggest Rapa  i have heard NW want a spot to support their W league team.

Wait and see who drops out

Kelly Cup Semi Finals played last night

Wairarapa United beat Petone 1-0

North Wellington and Waterside Karori drew 0-0, game went to penalties, no one told the council this could be the case and the lights went off so they couldn't have the shootout game will apparently be replayed now!

I saw that comment on twitter- but i think it's up to the competition organiser to decide if they replay, or just hold the shootout. Assume the clubs will hear from Capital shortly.

What time did they finish, I'm pretty sure the Alex Moore lights have a hard cutoff of 930 and the council can't do anything to stop it.

So I've started taking my 4-year old to Northern League games, she loves it, but I really wish that they wouldn't keep scheduling the Women's league games past her bedtime

Palmy vs Kaori this weekend should be a goodin. Also I have heard that the Rapa goalie Grace Minnis has hurt/fractured ribs and shouldn't have played last weekend. Does anyone know if they have a backup keeper or will she just continue to play?

Hi, does anybody know why Lower Hutt City AFC, Western Suburbs FC and Waterside Karori AFC Reserve team have been promoted to the Capital Division 1?

As well how is decided who promotes from the Capital Division 1 to Capital Premier?

Lower Hutt and Wests have been promoted due to teams in Cap 1 withdrawing or getting promoted. Waterside Karori reserves have been put there to be closer to their 1st team (in Central League).
While people may moan about league integrity, putting a team like WK reserves in any lower division would be ridiculous as they'd just hammer teams by double figures and it wouldn't do anything for anyone (ignore the team called WK reserves last season as they weren't really a reserve team)

At the end of the season the top 2 get promoted to Cap prem. However if they are from a club that already has a team in Cap Prem they can't go up as only 1 team per club is allowed. This season its only Wellington United (2 teams) and Miramar that can't get promoted, but technically you could see the first eligible promotion place going to a team that finished 4th and when you have had that in the past you have some teams saying they don't want to go up due to the gap in standard between the divisions

Thanks for this, very helpful !!!

This year by the way only one team got promoted. But I guess that was because North Wellington relegated to the capital Premier.

I have written it down like this now, does this sound right?

Do you know what is the reason why North Wellington 2 pulled out? And why Tawa AFC and Stokes Valley FP did not take their spot?

For want of a better thread to put this.
An U10 years girls tourney! Disgraceful act.

Thoughts with the Ellerslie coach, but deeper down also the young Papakura FC kid who has a father like that at home. That's where the real damage lies

As someone who has coached U9s I am absolutely flabbergasted that anyone would get this out of pocket over a kid's game. I'd say "life ban" except their poor kid doesn't deserve that.

she is recovering at home - luckily no critical damage but will need a bit of rest and perhaps the biggest damage will be to her emotional state, which is really sad as she is a massive part of why a lot of girls play the game.
