That is:

a) completely unintelligible and
b) too big so needs scroll bars

A+ for effort.  C for achievement.

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

yea, I know. To make it more legible I need to make it bigger.

There's a web-based solution I'll take a look at, but with the 19 lines, I'm not sure how good it will be.

Can you dumb the formula down for Gen Y and gen Xers who overindulged in the mid 90's please?

is it points divided by games etc, or is it open to Chairmen depositing dollars in YF bank account?

We're still awaiting Rightstr's Brown Envelope.

(Points / Games) * 10 - Because it makes it more of a round number.

Yeah, although it's great we can movement from week to week, why not just have a Pie graph and let us compare changes week to week

i gotta say, there are a bunch of ways you could try to graph the Fever Championship. All have their limitations - but not many are as comprehensively flawed as the pie graph.

Please advise which school you are teaching at LastNomad. I have two kids to enrol in the next 12 months and wish to make the best possibly informed decisions for their future. This information may also influence where we look to buy our next house, unless changes are made to current zoning laws - in which case I will be suitably confident we can avoid your classes (although I will still need to PM you in a few year's time to check your teaching whereabouts).

Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. Or so they say. Not that I want to flatter Feverish in any way...

Guess I should just shut up now.

I am now a little alarmed.

the fact Smithy of all people regarded that as scathing suggests I almost certainly took that "friendly jibe" rather too far.

My apologies LN

None needed Marius

I think it was just done so dead pan it came off as scathing as opposed to 'you sound like a numpty Nomad'

Anyway back on track, I think the numbers are really the best form for this, graphs on a wee forum just don't seem to work.

Also someone needs to make a bad joke about Naenae stealing the comeptition

Very good, but you may find that that formula gives insufficient spread.
By the end of the season everyone will probably be on 15,16 or 17 points.

RE: names at end of lines rather than at bottom

Yes, it would. But I'm not sure how to do that in Numbers yet, and I don't have time to figure it out this week. I'll have a look on Monday when I do the next graph, which will also be relative rather than absolute.yomcat2009-04-22 11:12:24

dont you think it would be easier to read with the club names displayed at the end of the line rather than at the bottom?

I reckon yomcat's done close to as good job as he can. with that many clubs its gonna be a bit of a mess whatever he does with the key/labels

Trying to track through the season won't work, too many clubs.  Just needs a histogram with a compressed scale on the left...

Hey who does the points and calculates them?Cause I think theres a few results missing or is that just because of capital football not updating the tables and so those results haven't been counted.

Couldn't be bothered figuring out the labels on the side. That can wait. But I'm now using HN's data (we did have some differences) and graphing by position, rather than score (it makes it a little cleaner).

James Dean: No idea what you mean by a histogram with compressed scale...

Also, it looks like the tags have been screwed up somehow (Miramar is wrong, for example). I'll sort that out for next week, when I'll hopefully have more time.yomcat2009-04-27 23:42:53

Tables are left half done and the spacing is hard to read-we pay subs to get a decent result service don't we?

(Don't answer- our subs go on rightstr's football shirt collection and brown paper bag supplies)
