The signs are not good boy and girls.........I thought the grounds would still be rock solid despite the rain.

Speaking of which, I see they've moved the main football ground at Kilbirnie Park closer to the Marist clubrooms - that'll beat the 400 metre trek from the pitch to the changing rooms and back at halftime as has been the case in the past.

Its a great off-season pitch, but cuts up in winter though. Superb in the summer though.

Superb location too-Maybe not good for parking though-love driving/crawling past and catching the footie or cricket

More on topic though- i was surpised that the council/s let the friendlies go ahead on Sunday

If that was good nick of this time of the season, it's pretty shocking

I can't see it holding up for long.

Was like that last year.  Seemed to be better quality pitch up that end too.

Was going to say what 2ndBest said, we were using the new pitch last year....and it is much better as far as the fact that you can now stand inside to watch a match when the traditional gale blows through kilbirnie park, and you dont get groundstaff complaining when you take beers across the park.

The  pitch is better in general except for the cricket pitch down one of the wings which can get pretty slippery... and we just need to stop the rugby players training/warming up on it.
