Seatoun 1-7 Vic Uni... Has not been a good start for us.
Tawa B 3 Wainui B 0. Lower Hutt A 2, Upper Hutt A 1,
A dog with a bone :)
Good battling win for NW over a very good Petone second team 3-2.
We came back from 2-0 down in the first half.
Good game from both sides only marred by a nasty eye injury to one of our players and a dislocated finger for the petone keeper after we drew level.
sound like your fitness work is paying off teza
good work and lets hope it carries the team further in the comp…..
good sportsmanship and fair playing field is all we ask for
but all we get is talk and goal posts moving

Who is coaching Petone ressies for G?
Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.
Just waiting on the confirmed results to come through will post when I have them.
Scott McLeod Sr is taking the ressies this year

Lol - Petone played you lads off the pitch. Once their two centre mids and goalie got injured then you looked much more like scoring. The Petone boys on the sideline were pretty dark about the result. Also the Petone lad putting it onto the cross bar with a minute to play from point blank range may not show at training tonight
I thought it was a poor start and poor finish by Petone. Passes went astray far too often in the first 20 mins and the last 30 mins. In the middle 40 I thought we looked like we were hungry and played some great football. During that spell I think you were barely hanging in at times.
When we lost our 2 more experienced mids with injuries we lost shape a bit and started to struggle as your boys fought their way back in well.
Losing our keeper hurt us though the young lad who stood in was very impressive and couldn't be blamed for conceding either 2. After your first goal which is when Jordy hurt himself (dislocated finger Helen was telling me) I just had the feeling that your boys were going to finish the stronger of the two, which they definitely did.
A draw would have been a fair result but so was a 3-2 loss in my view. The game was reasonably even and as you say a good chance to chop and change.
Hope your guy is all good. What happened? I only saw him on the ground and then coming off.
He caught a stray elbow in the eye which split the lid right open. It didn't look pretty and needed a few stitches.
He looked like he had gone a round with Mike tyson :).
Bugger, that doesn't sound like much fun. Does he end up missing any games?

They've got one extra group game to go (5 teams in group 4). Winner of pool goes through to semis with winners of each of the three quarter finals.
Naenae 2 0 up start missing chances defense start lapsing putting 1st year keeper under pressure who blunders a couple then coach starts blooding youth.
But make no mistake stokes valley deserved the win and I expect them to win cap3 if they can keep their starting 11 fit.

BNU looking good against the B sides haha. Has been a good work out for them though, if they can retain the squad I predict a good season in Cap 1 (they almost never can though).

I saw a bit of them and think they will rely on Keat (think that's who it was) a lot. There are some pretty passionate fired up guys there though ha.
doesn't sound like BNU...
All I do is make the stuff I would've liked
Reference things I wanna watch, reference girls I wanna bite
Now I'm firefly like a burning kite
And yousa fake fuck like a fleshlight

Yep, thats how it was last season. As soon as he left the squad they went from top spot half way through the season to pretty much bottom.
thanks
i missed the format info

is that not what the Hilton Petone is all about?
trying different lineups and configurations in competitive games that won't damage the seasons results?
like the top boys used to wait for the finals to start before they would put out a team that looked like there finished team from the previous year so that they got a good look at the new talent in different situations to see if they would be part of the new squad for the coming season……
this is when those players cut from the finals used to look at how to return to there previous club as they were not as good as they thought…..

Naenae and Stokes Valley have both defaulted their games this weekend. What's up with that? They've already paid for the game and surely any competitive match a few weeks out from season has got to be beneficial?!
Unless they have been hit with a lot of injuries and want the last couple of weeks before the start of the season to get their squad fit and not risk further injury.

Wainui B have just defaulted their game too.
Vic Uni B v Marist B now moved to Wakefield 1 at 1pm
Whats the chance with the weather coming this weekend that games will be called off. Does anyone know when we will get a update.
I'll let you know if anything changes but at this stage I think it is just a case of wait and see
