Tough but not insurmountable draw for Uni

Wellington United B, but no Wellington United A?  No Island Bay either.

Toffeeman - you of all people should know how the draw is done.

Teams are seeded based on where they finish in the league table the previous year (2010)

but is the draw based on seedings (correctly)?

It probably is but I find it funny that Petone always seem to avoid the "group of death". Fair dues though, Petone host it so thay can run it how ever they like. And they do run it very well.
I will miss my (almost) annual camoes and watching the lads play. Still, the weather is much better up here.

Its no longer a problem.

Jeezus..... Feverishs seems a bit fairer. How do we end up with two CL teams and one 2nd placed Prem team?

Something definitely dodgy with Petones draw, two Capital one teams and one Cap Prem? Yet every other group has two CL teams in it...

I guess they see Naenae as the biggest competition to the top teams hence the group

Which proves Petone dont stack the easy draw. They had the mighty Naenae in their group last year and were held to a draw.

Actually I have always been a supporter of Feverish's style of draw as mentioned in this thread, where you go down through the four groups then work back up again
ie    1    2     3     4                  rather than Petone's system      1      2      3      4
       8    7     6     5                                                                      5      6      7      8

In fairness to those who do the draw, this is how they have done it for years and Petone's luck depends on where they finish in the league. I am pretty sure they didnt deliberatly finish fourth in CL to ensure themselves a good HPT draw

We did draw last year. I totally agree with you and feverish at least his draw is a bit more kind on the mighty Naenae

Was being talked about.  At the monent we don't even have a full side between first and second teams combined based on training numbers.

A bit odd that a Petone C team is in there and the Petone "Third" team don't know anything about it. Must be a message somewhere in there for last years team. Maybe 5th wasn't good enough in Cap 3.

Maybe it's because the Armanis are already training and the 3rd team, as per, are a late-start shambles?

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

from what i saw

naenae 3 stop out b 0
petone b 1 marist b 1
petone 4 or 5 ( left before finish ) brooklyn 0
wainui 1 wairarapa 1 - wairarapa showed up with eight players and lost by default anyway, wainui gave them extras to play the game. pretty disgusting.

No reply from Feverish. Take it he's either scored a goal and is drinking the night away or has been arrested for headbutting a lino.

Feverish blocked by some great keeping.  Played disturbingly well.

Fale failed to lose unlosable game.  Wish I'd videoed his half time work.  Rubbish.

Saved by Jamie Milne.  If 2ndBest had been in goal they would have been beaten by a half-dozen.
