There is a proposal from NZF to increase the levy for senior teams from $450 to $560 per team.
The Capital Football fee is about $1400 and NZF is $450 currently.

How much does your club charge in subs now?

Do you think you get value for money? Forgetting of course the sh*t weather we have had this year which is beyond our control.
How high would subs have to go to make you stop playing? (Heaven forbid)

I would pay exactly the amount our club captain chooses to set it at and see that as fair value for money

TBH I just want to know where my subs have gone this season, having only played half the season can we be assured the funds get us a discount next season? Or go towards the new astro turf? Or some free nix tix

currently we pay $3000/team which equates to $200/per player. This season my guys are feeling a little short changed but for previous seasons its not too bad paying about $10/game. If they went up any more I'd be a little miffed especially seeing they went up a few seasons ago.

you would say that!
Nah its not too bad at all, we got an awesome new strip this season, which is awesome, needs numbers on the back of the shirts mind you, but still looks really sharp.

Karori's strip and awesome are not allowed to be used in the same sentence.

I reckon i get incredible value for my subs - $200  for 18 league games, 2 chatham cup, 3 hilton petone, a couple of random friendlies, trainings throughout the season, my shorts, socks and shirts washed about 25 times, somebody to organise the team and access to the cheapest bar in the country (Berhampore Golf Club).

Off on a slight tangent here, re the subject of shirt numbers.

Until the Olympics, the worst combination of shirt numbers I'd seen was red numbers on a black-and-white striped shirt - step forward Waitakere City, from a few years back.

They have been ousted from the number one slot by the pillock responsible for the Belgian change kit, which they donned for the match against China at the Olympics.

Whoever dreamt up the idea that gold numbers on a white shirt can be seen under lights by TV cameras, never mind the naked eye, needs shooting - preferably last month!!

If the players didn't have numbers on their shorts, both the commentators and scribes on deck in Shenyang would have had the devil's own job identifying the Belgian players.

Cheers,

JR

we have red numbers on black and white striped. If you have a white surround around the red number than it's fine. (See the background of the picture)

To continue the slightly off-topic thread, the worst "numbering" issue we had with our strips was when we got sent a shirt with the letter E instead of a number 3

Last year the club proudly presented me with a white captains arm band...for our white strip.

I remember seeing an IBU team that had black numbers on a black strip a couple of seasons ago...

mana reps a long time ago.  we had a strip that had the number on shorts at the back instead of the front.

thread has been offically hijacked

Thats pretty good value for money. I think my subs for this season was about $190ish to slog it out in div 12 on some of the worst pitches imaginable, had to pay for new pair of socks on top of that and we have to wash our own kit whitch if i am lazy sometimes doesnt happen in time before the next game or is still a little damp by Sat (hoping the dehumidifier at home dries my kit in time for tomorrow)

If it wasnt for the practices, which ceased to exist about 2/3months ago when all the grounds started getting close due to weather, and some pre-season kick abouts it would be hard to justify the cost this season. Only played 13 games this season so far.

Edit: No refs too

I think I paid $150 and only had to wash the kit once  and sell a few raffle tickets.

A dog with a bone :)
