Submissions on Hutt City Council's Draft Long Term Council Community Plan 2009 - 2019 close this week on Thursday 30 April at 5pm.

The LTCCCP includes $590k in 2015/16 to provide synthetic turf at Petone Memorial Park. This money is too little, too late to have any real impact on the current grounds crisis being faced by Football in the Greater Wellington region.

If you are a Hutt City resident you can help influence the council by making a short submission by email before 5pm on Thursday.

Include in the title: Submission on LTCCP 2009-19

Include in the text something like the following (feel free to cut and paste):

"This submission addresses the proposal in the Hutt City LTCCP to provide funding of $590k in 2015/16 to provide synthetic turf at Petone Memorial Park.

This funding is too little and too late to seriously address the current grounds crisis being faced by football in Hutt City and the Greater Wellington region. More artificial pitches are urgently needed to provide greater capacity in all weather conditions for playing football.

I would like to urge the council to seriously consider increasing the funding for artificial surfaces at Petone Memorial Park and at other locations in Hutt City and making it available as soon as possible"

Make sure you also include your name, address (and Ward if you know it) so that they know you are a Hutt City resident.

Capital Football will be making their own submission on behalf of the game but any individual submissions will just add more weight.
