As much as I hate to admit it, you're right. Not personally I mean, just that there really is no chance of having and amicable agreement to ending the season. Also, I'd love to see the 'Rapa get shafted and not make Central League :-) Something about them just erks me.

Its no longer a problem.

I've resigned myself to not playing again. So cancelling the season won't have that much effect on morale in the yomcat household.

I reckon it's time (for some of the lower grades anyway).

My fear is that the powers that be (God? Keith Palmer?) will realise how easy it was to cancel the season and this will become de rigeur for any future weather affected seasons.

At least let us (try) to play out remaining weeks

I voted no....

I voted no... we've already secured Masters One - only one game to play and 6 points clear - I don't want the title taken away by a season cancellation

Results/Tables would stand as per Capital Footballs letter last week. 1st round or as table to stand as is if leader/relegated can't be caught.

Yeah I suppose it is time to call an end to it. I'd be surprised if I get half a team when the call comes to actually play. Hell 90% of the team cant even be bothered check the website to see where they are playing.

Very good point ,must say out of all the teams i watched in the Wellington region this year i thought yours was the by far the most skillful given the dreadful conditions !!Im sure if that right back of yours was a few years younger he would be in the Phoenix starting line up next week!!

Cancelled or ended? I'd vote for the end of the season (get an early start on cricket wickets), but not for a complete cancellation of it. But maybe thats because our team has won by average 5-1 and I'd rather we moved up a grade or 2 :D

i guess i could have worded Q's better. What i mean is for the season to be ended now with tables results standing. Another possibility is for grades that have fininshed 1 full round or there is a clear winner/relegated then end those grades early might allow others to finish.

for e.g. Cap 13 has finished 1 round and as it stands the top 2 and bottom 2  are the same after 1 round and now. call it off now and let other grades complete their 1 round.

As my team has only one game to complete our first round I'd be in favour of letting teams finish their first round and end them there. Does anyone know how many leagues are still to finish their first set of matches?

One more game left and the two bottom teams are playing each other... even if we win and end up on equal points we end up lower on goal difference....

I don't care - bring on the last game!

Im not a complete idiot, some parts are missing!

who have you yet to play lemon? i thought it was only the weekends we were supposed to play you guys that were cancelled in our grade, and seeing as though we have played once i would assume only our second round is due to complete then the supposed mini leagues..im pretty sure we only have to play uni once more then we've played every team twice..

Yeah, you're right actually. I think it qualifies as our first round game though, though they could always take the result of the game we have played. Doesn't matter for us if they were to do that.

I'd still like to know who has finished their first round though, and I can't be bothered finding out myself.
