You mean 4 correct results, including 1 correct score and 2 correct margins?

Why thank you.

Uni drew 1-1 with Halswell. Not 3-1 loss.

Big game up next for Uni vs Nomads.

Permalink Permalink

Oh yer, so they did. Still.

Yes a big two weeks ahead for Uni with Coastal the week after.  Interesting league this year all things considered.

Yep. Uni will be out for some revenge after 1st round results. Nomads cant score enough goals, could be their downfall.

A shame Suburbs started so poorly. They look the most likely to challenge for the title ..but it's basically already won by Tech.

Jack Pelter transferred to Cashmere Tech in April  - haven't noticed him playing yet.

What gives?

If he's playing at all it's likely to be in their div 1 team; that's where his mates are (and his dad is coach I think). A bit more "relaxed" than first team environment.

Played for their div1 turtles team 1st game of season against selwyn back in April. Can't remember whether he played against us in game couple weeks ago.  Whether not playing or up in 1st team/pdl team?

mass ground changes me thinks

will not be enough grounds to get a full round in.

I reckon all grounds will stay shut tomorrow to conserve as many as possible for Saturday.

1 positive is if no training then time for an ale

I didn't think MPL was on at all this weekend - only the Chatham cup games.  So Say, Div1, WMPL and thats it?  As Ive driven around a bit of chch last 2 days - there is a lot of surface water on them pitches.

No MPL this wknd, Chatham Cup rounds.  My guess is there will be no football at all apart from WPL and Div 1.

Mainland doing the dirty on the junior grades again. Almost all the Intermediate and junior grounds available to be played on just the odd few with only one game allowed.

Pay a Fee and get shafted with no refunds for lack of performance by the provider.

Really if all juniors played, then you would all be moaning about the state of pitches in a week or two. What choice did Mainland have ?

And I coach a youth team that has been postponed also.

they could of at least played the Div 1 of each grade.

a number of grounds are hopeless after 5 minutes rain let alone 5 days

I see ChCh United defeated Waimak 4 - 3 to stay on top of Div 1.

Permalink Permalink

Ended up playing our Div 3 game at ASB park after Edgar Mackintosh was pulled due to water logged pitch (Thanks ref) then to Nunweek park - which was terrible due to PDL game played on it - they all need a diet. So Kick off 4pm - Thanks to Cashmere Tech and Halswell for being our Curtain Raiser!

Western 4 - Selwyn 2  (Damnit! - but they provided Beer - so it was a win)

Last time Coastal played Richmond in the Chatham Cup was at the same stage at tomorrows game in 2011 with Coastal winning 5 - 3.

The last time only one ChCh side made the last 16 was in 2009 when Woolston Technical was knocked out by Nelson Suburbs 2 - 0, so no pressure Coastal.
