Saturday action:

Midday

Tasman vs. Universities - Jubilee Park

12:30pm

Coastal Spirit vs. Cashmere Technical - English Park

Waimak vs. Parklands - Kendall Park

FC Twenty11 the bye

Like the MPL a big game between Coastal and Technical, almost a must win for the defending champions considering Tech's goal difference with the two then meeting again on Monday in the National Knock Out Cup.

So if Cashmere win on Saturday, are we all agreed the league is decided in the first week of June!?

Congratulations to Lily Bray and Rebecca Lake for their selection in the U17 WNT tour to China in July, where they will play international friendlies vs China, Canada and Japan.

Reduce league to 2 rounds. Remainder of season is Top 3 Mainland, 2 Otago teams and 3 Wellington teams in a Southern Half of NZ league, SHONZ. For end of season Mainland league bring in Reserve teams of Cashmere (untouchable in PDL) and Coastal. And bring back Selwyn.

Looks like Waimak striker Lucretia Taylor has been lured to FC20. 3rd young gun Waimak player to leave this season; Herman-Watt, Vos the other two. All three would start in their WPL side if there were no age restrictions.

So which league do they play for with FC20 then?

Didn't she go to Spain? Aren't they suing McMann? That could be fun!

Yes some brilliant goals and plenty of drama that had Coastal 3 - 1 up with five to play. Tech scored two quick goals to level at 3 - 3 in the 88th. With three goals then scored in the final of three minutes of the five in added time with Tech scoring the final goal to win 5 - 4.

great game last night between both teams. Coastal unlucky with the lost. Also great to see both mpl coaches going at each other on the sideline from coastal and cash tech. Didn't look one bit childish

Most unusual. Becoming quite the norm of late though... I blame CashTech...

Has happened before in the WPL - twice in the same season I think it was Burnside
