Agree - Upper Hutt have been very good in the last half a dozen games...can't see Marist beating them.  It's a one-off game isn't it?  Anyone know where?  Something tells me UH get home advantage...

Marist completely deserved their win.

Played the best football and were very strong in the last 20 minutes.  Good game to watch a pity for such a big club as Upper Hutt to be down in Capital One. With a bit of luck Petone will get into the Central league and save Upper Hutt.

Well done Marist deserved to be promoted for the football they have played throughout the season.

marist did deserve the win there last 20 was g8! cant help think though that upper hutt choked 2-1 up and then they relaxed kept pushing forward and then there over the hill defence tired and decided not to mark anymore??? poor goalie had guys running at him from all angles! good goals but poor defending at coaching cost them.

Sorry Axeman, good luck in capital one mate. Always knew Marist was a stronger side than Upper Hutt. Where were the ball boys? game was satic for 4mins no wat could be bothered getting another ball. Im glad Barber didnt put the tab on Uppers, big loss there. Marist vs Kapiti Coast. Finally. quality20002007-08-31 20:15:36

Spewing over that game. Go Petone! Hope they do go up, and keep us safe. Watched them in Palmy on saturday and they were looking good. They just need to find a stronger keeper and they should be right for central league next year.

Do you think you are better than the Petone keeper? He has been pretty strong all year, very few errors. If you are talking about the goal Petone conceeded on Saturday you should look at the first goal you conceeded in your play off game (dreadful error). As you would know when a keeper makes an error it is costly and people forget quickly how many they save. Just in case you think I'm picking on you, I actually rate you as a keeper.

No I dont think im better as  i had a pretty bad year. Just think he needs some more experience. Mainly work on his kicking and positional play.As in the last couple of years ive seen he has made some silly mistakes. That 1st one in the play off game was pretty bad and i felt bad after. Thats why i dont no if i'll be playing goal next year.

You shouldn't give up, Maybe find a new club - get that excitment back in your game. I know Petone would welcome you.

Petone deserve to be in central league. Lucky for Uppers if they go up. Hey axeman you do have a pretty big goal kick, but very predictable.
Permalink Permalink
over 18 years ago · edited over 13 years ago
how is it predictable? Jackie Soh has a big throw but its not predictable......muppet
Permalink Permalink

I think whether a long throw or a long kick are predictable or not is pretty irrelevant. With both Jacky's throw or a long goal kick from Axe you might be able to predict them, but doing something about them is a darn sight harder.

It's when you've got a sh*te kick like mine and the other team can predict it that you're in trouble ha.

Hey (Barber karne nui) no sl*gging off people on the forum didnt you get the news. haha.
I just felt like saying they were predictable on the day, only because his kicks seemed to always head straight for me, without me having to move. :D

Hey wulfsteam they should start up an olympic event for the throw in, soh would dominate. I'll have a couple of  beers for you on tourney mate. :D
