Also with that Green Island is likely about to be relegated to Otago Division 1 (Fletchers Cup) for the first time since the 60s - Assuming the restructure rumours are true

Been told by a friend that regardless of the format next year (same or different) Green Island will be getting relegated to the Fletchers Cup. They apparently cited Northern during 2020/21 as for why they should stay up, which is fair I guess, but Football South apparently doesn't care. Not sure if this means another team (Timaru United or Winton) will be coming up or if SPL is getting reduced to 8 teams (Assuming the restructure doesn't happen).
