what are feelings out there to clubs most disliked! interesting to see if the same  clubs are selected??
i enjoy beating waterside and wests personally. frequent occurance for myself over the years! wharfies are yuppies from karori who talk the talk, but dont walk the walk and wests are arrogrant, run by a man that pours in his money to entice good players from rival clubs and cant even host an away team for a beer after a game???

I dont dislike any clubs. I enjoy beating some more than others but that is more rivalry that anything else. All the clubs in Wellington have their good and bad points but each club is its own entity and attracts people for various reasons. As a staunch Everton fan I can't even say I hate Liverpool. Yes, I enjoy beating them but its rivalry before hatered. It's all about winning the competition not the war.
You may disagree but thats my view on it.

Its no longer a problem.

I like beating any team that I play

All I do is make the stuff I would've liked
Reference things I wanna watch, reference girls I wanna bite
Now I'm firefly like a burning kite
And yousa fake fuck like a fleshlight

I enjoy beating Waterside, as they are a strong club that has genuine nice guys who are all good looking plus intelligent and they are good with the ladies.

I would have to say that Seatoun are currently my least favourite club to play against due to their constant whinging and abusive manner(mainly towards each other)!!!

Its great there are so many clubs in the Wellington region and they all have their own flavour but on the whole are decent blokes to play against and have a beer with after the game! You always get a few nutcases in every club who want to start a bit of aggro but they are few and far between....

As we discussed on Cap 8 forum Dennis, Seatouns Cap 8 side are whingers and a discredit to their club BUT after that match we went into their lovely club rooms where the old guy behind the bar was genuinely friendly and welcoming, lovely beer and hot chips too- so every club has its rotten eggs but can still maintain a warm heart.

I used to really dislike Island Bay cos of their bogan biker team the Vauxhalls who hospitialised three of our clubmates with rash tackles- but IBUAFC have to have one of the best club set ups in Wgtn.

Maybe this thread could be changed to best club experinces backed up by your own experiences?

I like beating Miramar at the moment, but i suspect that is more due to the fact that they are our current closest rivals for the league than any specific hatred towards their club.

I mean when its all said and down we are all just guys (and girls)  who enjoy playing footy, ones club ties are often merely where ones friends are playing or the closest club to where you are living

Always hated Havelock Nth Wanderers...didn't live in the Bay at the time, but just couldn't stand them.  Now I find myself living there and coaching two of their junior teams!!.They are very well organised at the  junior level.

Stop Out and Lower hutt is always a good local derby and whelst we probably get along pritty well off the field, its always the game to win on the field. So I woukd have to say for a lower hutt boy beating stop out is always right up there.

Along with the usuals of wests and olympic!

Mate we should win that fixture 9 times out of 10 but we hardly ever do. They seem to rise to the occasion and just jump up another level for that game aye!Good on them tho i guess, always makes for a good encounter and a great spectacle for the neutral.

yeah bro Mikey H is my favourite player as well, the boy is a terrier and never gives up. He reminds me of a myself in some ways.....good on the ball, doesnt mind havin a go from distance.....dangerously good looking also......all the Carny-ingredients are there.

My most disliked local club would have to be Upper Hutt right now, they've put 2 LHCAFC players out for the season, the other being Ryan Spankford.

Ride the pony? mate i rode the PINE all season till i got injured so anything is better than that!

Grew up a Howick boy so always had a big rivalry with Pakawankas but then we merged (stupidest f*cking idea ever). Howick generally finished 4th/5th in the Northern Prem and Pak about 7th/8th. Merged with the goal of getting into the National League but the rivalry was such that half the Howick squad refused to play in the merger and went to Ellerslie and half the Pak guys did the same and went to South Auckland Rangers so it never improved.
Really dislike Waitakere in any form, they nicked Darren McClennan off of Howick back in the day and I've never forgotten. They also nicked Nick Viljoen later on.
Never had much time for Mt wellington either to be honest - they took Michael Ridenton off of us.

In my experience rivalrys change over time.
I'm a Miramar man resident in Auckland for over 10 years.
In the 60's our rivals were Seatoun (hard to believe I know !)and particularly Hungaria , in the 70's Wharfies , 80's Diamonds (we old timers still call them that),90's probably Olympic , and 2000 then Wests and Olympic.
Whose to say who it will be in 2010 ?
As an Aucklander now I hate any team out West - you're very lucky to return from a trip out there with all your body parts.

NZFC is a bit different - this was small community club being pillaged by a money bags club that had existed about 5 mins.

Personally I have never liked playing against Upper Hutt, theres something about the parent supporters there that piss me off and it can rub on to the players. Their could be other factors that have made me make my decision, like the fact that all the games i have played against them the weather has been crap and the refs have been rookies.

Interesting as I recall back in the early 80s that club had a pretty useful junior side coached by a loud mouthed pommie 'bully' who fair go ran the kids down like you wouldn't believe. As  I said, they were quite useful but boy o boy this guy was a shocker.Perhaps those kids are now the parents you refer to-his influence thus passed on.
