Didn't they make the quarter finals last year?

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

Would agree with this, especially if they have their full complement of TW players in Napier.

Final 4 . Lower Hutt.. Mirramar... Birkenhead .. E.C.B..

TW game v otago may be pushed back a week so that would free up a few players for Lower Hutt/ Wests etc..
we only sing when were winning

They looked excellent at the Upper Hutt 19s on the weekend, they looked comfortable beating Napier City Rovers in the semis who were imo the second best team at the tournament. I recognised most of the team so when they get guest players in they'll be pretty good.

just heard possibility due to TW and Otago having a bye the following week, nothing to do with the u19s tournament.!
not point starting then having a week off!

Oh right...makes a little more sense I guess. Lucky for those players. Our team isn't fearing so well due to ASBP

Agree with horseshead. Miramar, Stop Out and Lower Hutt were by far the better teams and offered more than NCR.  Stop Out have a very good defensive unit and went through the whole tournament without conceding a goal (apart from penalty shoot out).

Groups B, C and D all look like tough groups for the Welly teams, maybe Petone's is the toughest

Island Bay have had some good results in the lead up competitions. They finished 5th at Upper Hutt in the weekend.

They were the same last year but didn't do to well in Napier.

There isn't a lot between a lot of teams in 19s, sure there are a few stacked teams and a few weaker ones but for everyone in between it generally comes down to who turns up. We were a really young side last year and we managed results against teams who were far better on paper. Island Bay would probably go good in the main draw but won't cruise their way out of the satellite for example.

Maycenvale are my pick to win the satellite and Birkenhead for the main draw.

having seen Central play both this year East Subs got a lot of Macleans and Sacred Heart lads in there team although the better Sacred Heart lads dont play for them

If Cambridge are anything like their first team they'll do well to score a goal.

Three for me, and two for them.

I heard maycenvale are handy. Corey Adams, a guest player for them, is a very talented player.

who do all the "good" Sacred heart players play for then?
Permalink Permalink

Lower Hutt may be alright as long as they don't get a competent ref.   If they get a ref who knows what he's doing they're history.  The coach has obviously impressed upon them that they have to put the dirt in or they won't get selected - from what I saw from previously good players.
