Yeah if the german guy played as well through the tournament as he did in the final it would be hard to find anyone better over the three days.

I thought birkenhead were going to be stronger particularly without watson but lower hutt appeared to be the better drilled side and were well up for it. Birkenhead were shut down well and weren't able to play their flashy game. Hobson-Mcveigh was out played by the german kid and lower hutt's little guys gave it to the bigger BU players and matched them. Two quality sides though

Fantastic effort by the Lower Hutt U19 team to win the tournament, with many of the players still eligable to play for next few years.

Hamish Watson and Scott Basalij named in Tournment team. with Hamish receiving equal Golden Boot and also named Player of the Tournament.

Best player I saw in the Satellite was the Centre Back (solomon Islander) for Wharfies, in fact he was one of the better players in Napier.

Can answer my own question... These two awards are given to the best player and top scorer(s) of both tournaments apparently. Hamish Watson and Corey Adams shared the golden boot with 11 goals each. Although, Maycenvale have said that Corey scored 12.

Good to see Vale go up.. Now Rovers will be sh*tting themselves about Vale getting further then them in the Comp.. Looking forward to see how the draw is set next year haha

Gutted for the boys. Tears shed but we'll be back. Birko and Lower Hutt will dominate for years.

watched the final  not  a great game  , lower hutt looked fitter and sharper and to be fair had the luck on the day pen before half time keepers fault and keepers clearence for 3rd goal, but birkenhead never got going. lower hutt no9 dominated hobson/haviland which suprised me.. two best teams in the final and  the best team on the day won!!

A big thank you to Napier City for putting on the tournament. This was my first one as a Coach and I enjoyed it. The grounds were in great nick and the support & organisation fantastic.

the level of officiating was at times horrific

Not just in the satellite draw. Some was really good but some actually bemusing at times.

Get used to it, theres just not enough good refs to cover all the games. I saw 1 lad get a yellow for asking the ref for the wall to be moved back 10yards when it was les than half of that. Just the way it goes in the satellite.
