Richmond are set to announce the arrival of former Southend United defender Che Wilson. You can read more in the Waimea Weekly.

Hasn't played professionally in a couple of years. Is coming to Nelson to build contacts for future coaching opportunities.

Seen Che play today. Was a great box-to-box midfielder against FC Nelson United. Linked up very well with Jorge Donoso.

FC Nelson Metro defaulted to Marlborough Mariners
Richmond Athletic 3 - FC Nelson United 0
Not sure of the Nelson Suburbs reserves vs FC Nelson College

RIchmond Athletic coach Steve Bignall heading to FC Nelson

Nelson United has pulled out of FC Nelson.

Very interesting, considering Richmond coach Steve Bignall has now gone to FC Nelson (FC Nelson didn't play as a collective last season).

Nelson United were the top team from FC Nelson.

Where that leaves things know I will not no. FC Nelson in its present form is combined FC Nelson College (who have their own team) and FC Nelson Metro and FC Tahunanui and Nelson City (both didn't play in first division, City is just a junior club).

So that could leave Nelson Metro as the only FC Nelson team out there in the first division and Metro didn't win a game all season.
