Residents have been told by mail that work begins within 2 weeks.
I heard from the middle toilet that when it starts, the main field will be left until season end, and all the surrounding work will be done during the current season presumably to allow Petone to play on the No1 field this year.

Meawhile, the new Artificial at Upper Hutt crawls towards the finish line. Seems to have been two weeks away from completion since some time in April! That said it has been a struggle for the contractors getting rain / wet conditions at crtical times throughout the project.
Changing rooms are also getting an upgrade worth in the vicinity of $200k.
Grass now all laid, sand down and working on the rubber bead laying. I wonder if it will get any use prior to the end of the season???
All said it looks fantastic!
