Also with Mainland there may be  regional playoffs before Waitangi  weekend games. Not very far away. Is it. Half the eligible players could still be on holiday:)

Rules and regs mostly the same as last year - squad numbers are 16 with 2 additional players as reserves in case of injury

This comp is such a shambles. Every year.

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

Draw for this year for Central Region

I'm an optimistic pessimist.
I'm positive things will go wrong.

Dunno, I'm out of the loop around here these days. Karori have a decent team in that age group I think. Lower Hutt too. One of them I reckon.

I'm rooting for Lower Hutt, solely because I was born there.

Who is the go in Auckland lads? Waitakarii and Wyners?

Lower Hutt & Karori were 1 & 2 & pretty evenly matched last season.

KCU & Upper Hutt slightly behind though more than capable on their day.

Think Petone will likely be primarily / all ? from year younger.

Wests will also likely be primarily / all  year younger - Ole (Declan) trained

 - Possibly some players not playing (as looking to transfer this year etc) which could cause a surpise in the form book but think it will be close with any team capable of getting results.

I agree with Smithy - "This comp is such a shambles. Every year."

There was very short notice of the tournament going ahead and only 6 teams have entered from Wellington, given this is a top international competition got U15s, is a very poor turnout. Do not know who is responsible so shall not attach any blame on any organisation but it is no wonder kids drop-out and give the game away at this age.

I can tell you it is not the local federations, who have this dumped in their lap every year and have to make it work.

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

Yeah, but pretty sure this years issue is with the principle sponsor. Ie Chq Book Chumps new strip deal.

I have heard from someone involved in the UK scene that Adidas have not put their name on the cup as part of their new deal, and sponsorship/future of competition in current form is unlikely in future

Better win it this year then

Western Suburbs have pulled out of the Wellington Competition.

Amended draw available on Capital Football website

Well we best get our heads together and find an alternative for this age group to get into.

You can ascertain what your opponent is afraid of by observing the means by which he attempts to frighten you

Karori looked decent beating a weak looking Petone side. Tournie seems to have been weakened by all the kids in academies not partaking

Feel sorry for Waimak boys. Only two 15's, and a few younger than 14 even.

Only had trials three weeks ago, and trained for two weeks. Physically no chance, can't see how their participation will help development by getting whacked. The Waimak keeper though has been brilliant and rest trying has hard as they can.

14th grade team were in div 2 or 3 last year, were always going to find it tough.  But even with a poor year can they afford not to enter and see other clubs move in on the best players in the next age group. There is always manoeuvring under rules based on where you played the previous year.

Hey Waimak deserve a lot of congragulations around the way they have played. The team attitude is also very good so well done.

All to play for on the last day

My understanding is Halswell lose their points so still three teams can grab the one space for Auckland.

Goal difference could be the split.

Yes Halswell played unregistered players and lose all games by default. Knew the rules but did not care!
