That bit of luck might kick-start Olympic's season - they've been struggling so far.  And it puts them above Ellerslie in the table Chopah...
Who was the player, Jack Caunter?

I just took a look at the table and see that Sports are sitting surprisingly high up there. I am genuinely surprised at that. Next game makes it half way and you gotta wonder if Waitakere are going to stack their team or drop.

Well it's not even like they can stack their team at the mo because there've been no notable transfers from Waitakere Utd, with the exception of your mate Rory Turner that is.

Must be him. 3 clubs (Birko, Waitak, Rewa).

Three for me, and two for them.

Waitakere got a point against highly placed ECB. Rory Turner made a huge difference. This week I believe there will be a couple more Waitak utd players so be a tight game vs BO

Hogg trying to leave Birko for Metro but transfer denied.

Only extra ASB Prem player cleared so far for Waitak this week is Jake Butler, well showing on the clearance site at this time anyway, usually gets updated in the arvo so may be more show up today.

Declined? Feverish said that there were a few players leaving Birko. Wonder why he got declined, outstanding monies?

Also why Metro. I'm not a Hogg fan but he is better than Metro unless Jake Matthews is splashing the cash.

Not sure why it was declined but would have to guess at some moentary issue. Heard Jake was the factor in trying to get him to Metro, but they weren't splashing the cash in pursuit. Sensible move IMO.

Always particularly good form to bag the management and coaching staff of a club publicly when you find yourself riding the pine...class.

Roy Krishna now cleared to play for Waitak also. You would have to fancy them to score plenty now with Krishna, Butler and Turner in the team, and probably some more ASB players to come in the future. Question is, is there enough time to get the points needed to stay up? I would think yes.

Hamilton Wanderers game vs Manurewa has been shifted to Beetham Park @. 2.45

Reserve game is still at Porritt . The centre pitch at Porritt has some major issues with the soil which is made in unplayable .The HCC is doing some work to rectify the problem

Yeah I would think if Krishna plays they be ok.... .... Although be a tough game for them sat . A lot of waitak utd players on display

Bay Olympic vs Waitak 3 3 . Probably fair result. Jake Butler didn't play but Tim Myers. Krishna and Turner did. Krishna got 2 and Turner 1.

When was the last time Krishna played at the Northern League level?

Went to watch Claudelands v Warkworth, Claudelands went up 1-0 early and looked hugely dominant, Warkworth scored a loopy back header just before half-time to make it 1-1 and then went on to score three in the second half, Rovers' keeper had a mare while Warkworth's saved a pen while playing very well. Still think Rovers will stay up but will have to strengthen at the back.

Funny thing with Jack Caunter, is nw he has to go back to Waitak and with them getting there Asb prem players back he will get no where near the top team. Way to shoot yourself in the foot there buddy

Also ECB put a very good performance in to beating T.K.U 4-1 on Saturday

That was me between the sticks for Warkworth mate. Guess it was you I was tweeting also?

First half from us was so poor, that first 20mins was probably the worst football we have played all year and were lucky noy yo be down more than 1 goal. But we stuck at it and goal just before half time was crucial, got to love a loopy header. Then 2nd half we seemed to step up a bit and started to play a bit more to feet and took our chances while Claudelands didnt and then their coach dragged the African bloke up front who was causing us the most trouble. Puzzling substitution.

Made for a good night in Hamilton Saturday though, beers tasted all the sweeter for 3 points

He was going to, but he has to stay here to qualify for NZ residency.

Does anyone know what date the transfer window closes for winter league clubs?

Permalink Permalink

Chris Bale has signed for Western Springs. Very good signing for the Springs there. I think possibly the only current ASB Prem player playing in the NRFL 2nd Div currently, but I could be wrong...

EDIT: As I post this, Neil Emblen re-assures everyone on Twitter that nobody gets paid at Springs. Do we believe him?

Ok. Lets just go with what Neil says. I like him and he is a good guy so I want to stretch this a little further.

Tell us Neil how you have Mulrooney and Bale without paying. Liam has always been about Liam and I really doubt how in 2 years time when the team hits Premier, if Liam will be around for it so what does he get out of it when according to Liam "I am one of the 4 best players to ever wear a Waitakere shirt"

I understand there are other players but I am too lazy to research (are you taking note nightz?)
