What club are you part of Toffeeman? There's loads of examples like Olympic that Enzo could have missed. Not everythings black and white.

Three for me, and two for them.

Buffon the gospel truth - I'm not part of any club.  I was once at a low level, but not any more.  I like Birkenhead by the way; the way they develop players warms me - I hope they keep it up. For what it's worth I was a youth coach back in the day and I saw Salter and Ward, and Darkwa et al. when they were kids at your club under Kerry King.  His boy Simon was some player, I wish he'd kicked on. And it's not all black and white, I agree with you.  I think Enzo has done some good work here that needs to be looked at. That's all I'm saying.

Just got back from Wanderers v Central, Wanderers got up 1-0 on the back of a Michael Built goal from a rebound, deserved win. Central were acting like real twats the whole game, Tade, Milne, Dickinson and especially Ulhmann were swearing at the referee and linesmen for the entire first half, it took the ref an age to book any of them despite continually being called an "effing disgrace", Ulhmann deserved to go.

They calmed down a little bit in the second, until after full-time Dickinson had his usual loss of control and got himself sent off for abusing the ref after the whistle. Kopricvic was the only Central player to really come away with any credit from the encounter (also being one of the players who kept his mouth shut), while for Wanderers they defended superbly, Shaw, Jones, Konings and Luque were all immense, great team performance.

Massive impact on the title race that result. Central now 7 pts behind with 6 games left.

Three for me, and two for them.

Birkenhead should have had double figures  today if it wasnt for the Louie caunter show...

Would imagine Central wouldn't have liked playing on one of he back porritt pitches

The surface wasn't actually too bad, but they were complaining about everything. Greg Ulhmann even was complaining for an offside off a throw-in.

The Central players behaved like spoilt brats all day . they moaned all day , especially Ulhamn , Dickinson and  Tade . The pitch held up ok but it was the same for both sides.

They didnt come into the club rooms after the game. This is the third year in a row they haven't bothered coming in, this is totally disrespectful

central certainly had there chances to score but take nothing away from Wanderers

watched Central vs Bay Olympic last sunday and Uhlman whinged that whole game as well - dare i say it but Ivan was just as bad.

Problem is that ref didn't do anything about it and so now the problem carries on to next week.

To be fair in CenVBay game both sides were at it - Coombes was shocking.

Your not wrong Caunter was superb today and made a number of cracking saves... Birkenhead crusied though they never got going but it still could have been 8 or 9...

Adam Dickinson? Colour me shocked. Average footballer that carries on like a twat.

Can I ask what Ivan did to curb all of this as a Herald on Sunday Sideline Champ ambassador? I bet I can write my answer on the back of a postage stamp....

I saw the game last week at Central and Tade, Ulhman and Dickinson are an embarrassment to good people like Paul Posa and Ivan Vuksich who are involved at that club and have been for years.

In what way is that "totally disrespectful"?

The players had a team mates function to attend

In future all players will be informed to ensure they check the fixture list to see if there is a game in Hamilton before they plan a wedding

And last year they had the ACFC prizegiving so several players had to leave after game and as they travelled on the same bus everyone had to leave at same time

What would of been "totally disrespectful" would of been to of not informed the host club that they could not attend the aftermatch. Hamilton  Wanderers where so advised earlier in the week as they were last year.

And you have to earn respect mate.

Maybe sort your own backyard out 1st and worry about getting a facilty that befits the level you are playing at before commenting on things you have no knowledge of.

Referee was very very poor as was the pitch but that wasnt the reason Hamilton won.

They took only real chance they had were as Central didnt take the many chances they had.

Dont rely to much on the report of a journo who cant even identify the ref who was the subject of so much alleged abuse or who was in goal for Central.

he said from reading the reports - which i have also just done and based on my viewing experience of Central the previous week against Bay Olympic i am not surprised as they did the same thing then - i don't think the identity of the ref is particularly relevant although i do hate in-accurate facts in an article.

And because the identity of the ref changes everything naturally....

I notice you don't say that the send off or that Ulhman should have been sent off are inaccurate though.

Like chopah, I saw the game last week against B O. Lets me guess, everyone is wrong on consecutive weeks?

If JV you were 'actually' at the game last week you would have witnessed two assaults by Wiley on David Brown one of which (studs up head high) nearly took his head off followed by double knee to his back.....and no mention from you.

So let's get back to Central V Hamilton.

Pitch absolute disgrace ....... paddock in the middle of nowhere. Q, Is this acceptable Northern League standard.

Ref. Just back from lengthy ban....very poor but Uhlmann and co only made his job easier to go for a yellow card record.

Hamilton deserved their win 'cause they wanted it more by putting their bodies on the line and getting away with the niggles. That's Mark C for you.

I can be a miserable f*ck but when I get as f*cked up as NBomb and Vader shoot me.

As for Central players not showing after the game.......was Hamilton advised well in advance before hand yes or no.?

................and as for Mark C's after match speeches going on and on about beating Auckland City until finally some bird put him straight. Only goes to further confirm you as small town with a chip on ya shoulder....... but at the end of the day worthy of your win Saturday. No excuses.

Hamilton Wanderers were advised on Monday that players had commitments that evening back in Auckland and wouldnt be attending aftermatch.

Ok I'll step back from this an explain it in a different manner.

re: Not attending the aftermatch, I have no issue with it so not sure if the comment above is directed at me. It does happen and Hamilton is a long way. I respect the fact that Wanderers have to do it most weekends but that's the unfortunate part of being involved from Hamilton. If Central were good enough to let them know midweek, well that's more than most clubs would do.

All I have to read is comments on here and the stuff article and it basically said that one was tossed and another one was lucky not to go. Nothing to really comment on. I then jump on here and read other comments of players being just complete dicks. Now granted you can take that as a home town reporter and home town fans but then I did see them last week and I go 'Hmmm'. As one of your own supporters said 'made his job easier to yellow card him'. Ok so its basically accepted that Central (or more specifically Ulhman, Dickinson and Tade without tarring others based on reports) acted like cocks and I've never been a fan of Dickinson as True Blue and I have discussed.

The last line, you say that Wanderers were worthy of their win, no excuses. That's cool and good on your for saying so if in fact Wanderers were the better side. I then ask why the harping about the pitch and the ref then? What was the pitch like? I know Porritt got ripped up 4 years ago and the athletics guys are a bit precious about its use but has it deteriorated that badly? When you say the ref was bad, did he miss players flying in, penalties?

I guess what I am saying is when there is only one story to draw conclusions from, then you are going to do so. Tell us about the game, the pitch, the ref, the team. You've really only written 2 lines above on the game. The rest has been the aftermatch, Cossey etc...

The game was played on the #4 pitch out the back of Stadium and was not acceptable for a NPL game
The #3 that the Reserve game was played on was an absolute disgrace and wasnt fit for any level of football.

What happened to Central today?

7-0 hiding.interested to hear what type of side did they have out ? Bays have a good side but didn't see this coming. Also Birkehead have some big games coming up.They still have to play all the title contenders and Melville won't be easy

But ask Greg Ulhmann and it was the ref's fault ;-).

Have to say ECB have the inside running at the moment, the last three games are going to be so crucial, could see it coming down to the ECB v Birko matchup

I would love to see a match-up between Wanderers and Melville. Wanderers have probably got their best team ever, and would probably cruise it. But Melville played out of their skins at the weekend with some incredible goals and they are not bad either, all things considered.

Is this just a random want, a friendly game? Could happen next year in the league potentially. Pity they couldn't have met in the cup, though I'll guess we'll see how good Melville really are at home this weekend.

As to your point JV: Honestly, listening to some players and fans you'd think that every single ref is biased, and that every week they should have won but got unlucky/the ref ripped them off. But that's football I guess! Every club has a few one-eyed wackos.
