Clearance not finalised until May 15th.

So do AFF now look at team cards for other Prem games to see if he was listed and deduct points accordingly, or do clubs involved need to raise individual cases with federation ?

AFF were made aware of it by a 3rd party.

But it is my understanding that the player in question has been playing unregistered for the last 2 seasons.

Does beg the question why it wasnt picked up sooner? Or else what is the point in the National ID numbers that clubs are forced to put on Teamsheets, And incur fines for if they fail to do so?

Well that sucks for the players in the team, there has to be some responsibility put on the management side of the team as well as the club.

Although nothing will be done about a previous year, AFF have already proven that with Narra and their striker they failed to do an ITC for (Marquez I think)

Surely they can't award Hamilton 3 points and nobody else

You would think that in the 1st instance, if you appeal, you get the points. That right has to be upheld.

In the 2nd instance, I would think AFF would approach 3 KU and tell them to sort their shark out.

I don't think its the responsibility of AFF to tell other clubs "hey you should appeal this because this player has been unregistered all year". That being said, I think they should look at the whole thing across the board and decide the best course of action across all games that this would effect and decide to blanket reverse or let each club appeal their case.

I would think with the story floating about, other clubs would get wind of it and appeal or contact Wanderers to ask the nature of their appeal and see if it affects them.

I guess overriding this is the statute of limitations in how far back you can go. We already know you can't go back to last season but how far back this season can you go. I say that if the team that played them in the opening round lost and 3KU had unregistered players, then it should be fair game to appeal.

That's a huge screw up from Three Kings management. Huge. Picking they will lose all their points for this season to date otherwise it's blatantly unfair on every team that has played 3K this season.

With 2 down this year they will be in big danger of relegation. Although with Melville on 0 points  and Waitak only 5, it would be a big scrap at the bottom.

there is a time limit for clubs to lodge an appeal against teams fielding unregistered players . I think it's 48 hours after the game

Based on a that , Hamilton would be the only team getting points. Three Kings will be fined for the other games they fielded unregistered players

Permalink Permalink

I stand to be corrected. There is no time limit to lodge an appeal according to the regulations so Three kings could lose all there points and all teams granted 3 points . The only team they haven't played is Glen

Greetings all,

The post-match appeal limit is three days. So no further appeals can take place re matches involving Tom Konusi.

However, that doesn't mean further action can't be taken by league management, and I have it on good authority that such procedures are being explored presently.

There is precedent for a retrospective punishment to be applied in this situation, as the very same issue has reared its head on three occasions in the Northern League's history. In each of those instances, the team concerned lost the points, and the result was declared. (Believe it or not, on two of those occasions, the same club was on the receiving end!!!)

I fully expect the same punishment to be applied on this occasion.

Cheers,

JR

Blatant breach of rules or stupendous management - set a precedent or else people won't be too bothered breaking the rules and the limp consequences. I would suggest set a hard example - loss of all points and goals until now and relegated to the 1st division next year. As one of the largest sports clubs in the country it won't exactly scuttle them but will give AFF the balls to take their own rules seriously. Otherwise why bother?

Yup - but the excuse was that he said he'd never played football for a FIFA affiliated club before and therefore didn't need one.... and Ngarra were promoted over North Shore. NIce guy though.

Any update on whether TKU will receive further points deductions ?

Any update on whether TKU will receive further points deductions ?

the latest I am hearing is that there are several records for TK in goalnet and Three Kings registered one of the other ones for the 2014 and 2015 seasons and didn't realise there was another record which had him at Auckland City Youth.

They are appealing the points deduction on the basis that he has been a Three Kings player his whole career and that goalnet duplicates should have been resolved.  Hard to argue that when Hamilton have already been awarded points...

Also I hear Central knew about the TK issue the whole time and were just waiting for the right time...

Permalink Permalink

And the right time was when they beat Hamilton Wanderers then......

Not any of the other games Three Kings have won this year.....

Permalink Permalink

I guess they had it up their sleeve in the opening game of the season but didn't need it?

I don't know if it's true about Central to be honest - just something I heard.

So you can see Hamilton Wanderers have had their game result changed due to an ineligible player so I just don't see why the other clubs cant get the same result (unless TKU are still appealing the Wanderers default)

can someone please confirm the Glenfield vs Western Springs result. There are conflicting results on the AFF result

Permalink Permalink
almost 11 years ago · edited almost 11 years ago · History

looks like an upset win to Springs

Glenfield Rovers 1 – 2 Western Springs (HT: 1-1)
GLE: Andrew O’Toole
WES: Roussin Nkoy, Jono Quinn

I would say that's more likely to be right than the result in the comp pages.

EDIT: Also from twitter:

Was there, def a 2-1 to Wester. Looked much better all game as well. Glenfield had a player set off on the ~85th.

Northern League Premier race really hotting up.4 teams within a point of each other. Suburbs and a Central are the form teams

Glenfield and Wanderers play each other next Saturday in Hamilton. Who was the Glenfield player sent off yesterday. Melville Welsh players have arrived but it might be a big late to avoid relegation. I think you will need 18 points to survive so they must win 6 out of their last13 matches

Don't know why but when to Kiwitea st yesterday Watch Central beat a very young Bay Olympic 1 zip, but where has all the Central support gone the place was empty. The game itself was even and Bay could of got a point near the end, didn't recognise any of the Central players until the Japanese boy came on. The best player on the park was Ian Hogg, hell this boy is quick and can defend played at CB.

Best player for Central was GK saved  them near the end,  but the alarming thing was the croud.

He's saying he didnt know any of the Central players other than Iwata.

At least 6 of them played for various ASB Prem teams last year other than ACFC.

So one would assume that he would know a few of them if he watched any ASB Prem games.

I think you will find that the majority of ACFC players either don't play in the winter or play for clubs other than Central!
