Had a Nigerian playing for the club I am involved with many
years ago. Told us he got his speed from being the youngest of a
family of 10 and having to get to the table quick or he would miss
out.
That story later changed to him having to run 10 miles to
school in bare feet, five of those being chased by
Lions.
During a game against a PN side, 0 - 0 with 5 minutes to go,
he broke through, keeper to beat no one within 10 yards of him. He
decided to do a heel flip, over his head, over the keeper onto the
roof of the net.
The thing about these Nigerian players is that bruising doesnt
show!
