Well, it's been a while...

Hope you all missed us as much as we missed you.

Thanks to a very generous sponsorship deal we have struck up with YF sponsors Four Kings we will be bringing Park Life back to print in you clubrooms for the winter.

It should be fun.

The first mag will be out next week.

For this week though - we reckon it's definitely worth checking out Miramar vs Wests at Farrington Field at 2.30pm on Saturday.  Which will win the day: Rufer's craziness or Calcott's angry?  Will Justin Gulley make his debut in the Central League, and could he be the next Marco Rojas?  Will Mike Smith get sent off against his old club?  Do Wests have a team capable of winning this year's Central League?  How short is Lloyd O'Keefe?  All of these questions may be answered on Saturday at our pick for game of the week.

Wherever you are in the country, make sure you tick off these key objectives this weekend:

1. Play a game.
2. Watch a game.
3. Have a drink at the clubbies and support your club.

And if you're in Wellington:

4. Pop in to Four Kings, corner of Taranaki and Dixon, and support YF, Park Life, and football.  You can have a look at the new Miramar Rangers Football Hall of Fame!  It looks pretty sharp.

Also, don't forget this year's Fever Club Championships  - we'll post regular (but not always timely) updates telling you who is on track to become this year's Most Winningest Club.  Will Seatoun be able to hold onto their title?  Could the Bubbles take it back off them?  Will Karori finally win and if they do will Greenie drink the entire $1k bar tab himself?

YES! It's the WINTER!  Yays!

Their site is really great IMO. They keep it pretty current and the Magpie magazine is good value. I travel between Auckland and Welly a lot with work and so follow football in both towns. It really helps when websites are up to date...so well done Wharfies! I'm trying to think of the best and worst of the Auckland ones..Three Kings Utd is OK but senior football coverage is very poor; Metro's is horrible but there a few other bad ones. And the worst of Wellington...well there are some corkers, but when are they going to update the Olympic team photo?!!

Do the first team only do a report when they win?

All I do is make the stuff I would've liked
Reference things I wanna watch, reference girls I wanna bite
Now I'm firefly like a burning kite
And yousa fake fuck like a fleshlight

Ummm - our female 'manager' for the first team, her main job is to manage Brian into not getting himself sent away from the technical area every week. She does a pretty good job

If by pay, you mean she gets to test her mental wit against Brian, sure, great pay.

Scottys job is to make us all throw up lots, and try to outswear Brian

As for the photo, that was my visor... I have a large head that doesn't really work with normal hats. Plus I'm a bit of a ponce

Is that the same Scotty that was at Three Kings? Quite fit, half decent player? I heard he went to Welly. Is he playing for Marist as well as coaching? if it's him the reason he swears a lot is because he knows profanities are the only words non-Scots will understand; I mean F*** you Ref sounds best in a Scots accent don't you think?

Birdie said a really cute little girl, about 3 years old, asked her mum at a soccer game,"Mum, why do those men shout so loudly for?"
