Maybe when they mean 'clubs will get 20%' (and with it only being offered on line) you may have to enter the club you are with....then the club will get 20% of the tickets you members by online.

Great Promotion...

All clubs will be given their own unique code and members from each club are to use that code online in order to get promotion and return for club. More details surely to come.

Is a Great Promotion

Oh - effing brilliant idea then. I had this horrible feeling it was going to be given to all the massive clubs.

Just going to stick my cynical hat on for a moment.  I checked about half a dozen Wellington club websites (Central League clubs).  Not one had a mention of this promotion on it.  Nor did Capital Football.
Seems crazy to me.

How many clubs have engaged with anyone other than their top couple of teams by the end of January?

It's a funny thing isn't it.  How many clubs want more involvement from members in the club, more support for events, more money across the bar, and yet the communication from club administrators out to ALL members is random, if not exclusive.  Take preseason training or even the Phoenix promotion as an example, how many clubs are filtering through their contacts or websites, information about what is happening in January and February?

I've had an email from the club end of december, can't think of anything recently......this needs to be picked up quickly though for both the nix and locals clubs.

Assuming that "match day ticket revenue" excludes GST that means that your club will get $2.60 for each adult ticket sold and $0.87 for each child's ticket sold.

So a club that sells 100 tickets might make about $200.

Nice idea, but I am going to rather cynically suggest that most clubs would prefer you just paid your subs on time.

I've heard a bit from the club, although not so much about the Nighthawks, more about when first and second team training starts etc.

Once there is a code for the club it will go on Facebook for the casual punter.  Every little bit helps I guess.

Yeah, but it is money that can be made without a huge deal of effort. Great initiative IMHO.

Everyone just needs to be patient with the promoting of the Phoenix event. details only came out yesterday. the press release was only sent out yesterday on Yellow Fever and radio Sport. Clubs have been advised of promotion and have been sent their codes today with a special link to Follow.

For the Smaller Clubs $200 can be a big deal for the larger clubs not so big a deal but as steelo said it money that can be made with hardly any effort.

lets get behind the event

Good point. This was/is a potential benefit for the GoalNet database. For those that register on-line a current emaill address is provided. Now generally most members will have opted out of receiving commercial correspondence, which the Phoenix promotion would fall into. However, using this as an example, the database does allow infromation like this to be sent directly to members.

Not that Capital Football wouldn't use the clubs contacts.  A lot of clubs have some very effective commucication out to ALL members. Emailing direct through GOALNet though would be an added opportunity to get relevant messages out there.
