Have appointed one of their boardmembers to the staff effective 9 Feb.  Cliff Bowden becomes Operations Manager reporting to Keith Palmer.  He joins consultant Dale Eagar as a recent addition to the staff.  Eagar is sorting out the 15th grade schools football "decision".

15th grade and above you must play for your College.  No club competitions.

Guess you could play senior but they were talking about rules to stop that at some age as well.

Yeah nothing to prevent you playing for a club, there'll just be no age group competitions to play in above 14th grade.  Talk of a Sunday morning U21 numpty league for the overflow.  But no details.

The idea was that all schools would offer U15 teams.  No genius thought to check with the schools about that first.

As long as you don't use the beach on the one day a year the DomPost whiners want it.

I notice no one complained about it's use on Sunday.

According to an email out today Keith Palmer has resigned from Capital Football.

Finish date still to be set.

Permalink Permalink

yeah what's the story there?

CEO - I have tendered my resignation. My departure date is a bit
flexible but I intend to stay through to the start of the season to make
sure everything is happily underway. That's a couple of months away
which should allow enough time to recruit a replacement and have a
decent handover; that's the idea. I think the organisation has moved on
in many ways but it's hard work, to put it mildly, and it's time for
someone else to take the baton. For me personally, I don't know what
happens next but I've got a couple of months to figure that out (and a
holiday would be nice too!). We will be advertising the CEO role by the
end of this week...

I know you did.  That's the story though isn't it.

Anything else would be just rumour and speculation, and we don't do that!

Jeez, rumours and speculation are the only things that keep me coming back here.

Apparently I'm apathetic, but I couldn't care less.

4-4-2 Belief Factor  3/10.  Can't be true, I'm one of the strikers that Tony P and Ricki are chasing....

The boy Cross is irreplaceable (that's Jamie, not any other Crosses that may be lurking around the place...)

Let the speculation on potential replacements commence.

Sam Buckle.
David Cross.

Others?  Go.
