hey guys someone told me that from the quarter finals on we're only allowed 3 subs?

surely that can't be true right?
I mean, we have a squad of 18 and everyone has been involved with the 3 pool games and since this is a social competition it's not fair to tell some of the players to stay home, right?

can anyone please confirm this?

If this was a social competition you wouldn't be worried about subs. Now WE have to play the Police after you thrashed them and what are they gonna do to us!!??

i reckon Tony and G need to sort it out on the field.......maybe we need to organise a match between Stret Football and Eurasia.

regarding subs @ Ethnic footy....its 5 subs max and no rolling.

note, all the 3 teams that have defaulted are all new to the event including the team that got to the Park early but preferred to have their warm up at the carpark and their match was called off by the official when the team was no where to be found.......10mins after kickoff time.

just a sniffer......we might have the 3rd place and final matches stream live on the internet.....hopefully your team will make it to the semis...watch the space..

In Vatican city defense - I am pretty sure the guy who organised our team let the organisers of the tourny know we would struggle to field a team in the weekend just gone, as the majority of the Marist club (who fielded the Vatican team) would be in Palmy at Marist tourny - soz

1) No need to sort it out. we played each other about a month ago..ask Tony the score!!

2) I'm glad we're allowed the whole 5 subs, cause I wouldn't have had the heart to tell some of the lads to stay home :)

Monkeyboy, I really do hope you're wrong..but I heard good things about you guys, so I reckon you're coming into the game as favourites.

of course nothing to sort out. You're kind like a father figure to me Tony (or ever grandfather!!!)..you nurtured me ever since I came to this country [in a football-related manner]so I owe you big time!
Anyway it'd be nice to play each other in the UH Championship, but can it actually happen? i mean if we both win our games?

Got no spare change sorry, I get paid way too little to be able to save a farthing!!!

what is going to happen if the weather keeps being so crappy?
is the "1 game per field" policy going to apply again? if so, that will be a problem for the games with 230 kick off. It would be nice to kinda think about a plan B before saturday.

cheers for game euroasia! played in good spirits was a hard fought game but we didn't take our chances well enough in the end to challenge you guys. a bit of a gripe with pedro about your centre back taking my legs out thought that was a def peno!! but oh well thats football, also damn your goal keeper for saving my long ranger! thought it was going in! great save haha. cheers and good luck for the semis

thanks a lot guys, it was a truly epic game! I really thought you guys were gonna win it. In the first half we weren't playing that well and I thought you were going to get one or two past our keeper and that would have been game over.

Instead we managed to pull it together and got a goal, conceded the equalizer but still kept on playing on and got 2 more.
personally, I have been cramping up for the last 20 minutes of the game but we ran out of subs so had to soldier on.

But yeah, thanks for the game Sudan you really showed that the standard of this competition is very high. if a team as good as yours goes out in the quarters, that can only mean that the skill level is very high!
cheers again

HUUUUGE semi-finals.
to be honest I'm not happy that we drew Somalia, but I would have been just as unhappy if we'd drawn UK Kiwi. At this stage of the competition every game is a final!

Oh so it was you that denied my moment of glory ya bastard hahaha, to be honest, I was amazed that I even got it anywhere near on target from the distance it was, would of been shirt off if I had scored that one hahaha.

I was right next to you when you took that shot. I almost dived head first to not allow you to take the shot but then I told myself: "not worth a kick in the head, he's never gonna hit the target from here"..ahaha last famous words, next thing I know you almost scored the goal of the season!
and well done Steelo to get to the end of that.

I'm not sure i'll be able to play on sat..very very sore hammy, let's stretch, ice and pray.

Congratulations to Somalia for knocking us out. They played a beautiful game, nothing to say about that. We were a bit unlucky in that we didn't start strong, lost our striker due to injury and took way too long to start playing better..but either way I think the win would still have been theirs.
Good on them, so we'll be playing Fiji from what I gather. Heard they got a red today..that true?

Can't believe that Pedro had me booked for shouting "los lentes!" to him with a grin on my face, that was a joke! On second thoughts, sense of humour has never been his best attribute :)

So the finals won't be next week, right? But the week after? Can't wait!!

thanks everyone and good on you Somalia.
