Hi Folks

This year is shaping up to be the biggest tournament to date in our 28 years of running the tournament.12/13th October great prep for Napier. This year it will be based across 2 grass pitches at Maidstone Park and the artificial turf. We have the strongest tournament to date in the main draw with 20 teams  and 8 teams in the development group which will be run from Harcourt Park.

I have just had one team pull out today from the Main draw so have a space that needs to be filled asap. If you have a team that would be interested in joining the main draw please make contact with me Phil@ryos.co.nz

Many thanks

Good central region representation. 10 years ago when I played in this it was just wellington clubs + Napier. Disappointed the Rapa still have nothing though

Looking like a wet week ahead and wet weekend.Any contingency plans?

Why would there be a need for contingency plans...bit of rain never hurt anyone

Agreed! However with this amount of rain and the amount of games on the pitches, will hardly make for decent games. Will end up wallowing in mud!

this and the fact our awesome councils closing the grass pitches is why we would need a contingency plan.

Games being played at Maidstone on the Turf and Harcourt Park which has had bugger all use this year and is in good shape. Rain due to ease later today with some showers thursday Friday. Will be no real problems

Also using 2 other pitches, 1 rugby field in front of rugby grandstand and the other behind clubrooms at Maidstone.(probably bogs by now). Development teams using Awakairangi 1,2 and 3. Hope it drys up quickly...

We haven't had as much rain out here as in Lower Hutt or Wellington and all the pitches are in good nick so should all be good for a great weekend of football!

Wharf 2-1 over ncr, then 4-1 over upper hutt ( coulda been 8 or 9) looked very very impressive

Next year, would like to see better seeding in the pool groups, especially if it goes straight to semi finals.
