The Wellington Tornadoes are a team of local youngsters under 14 travelling to the US in January to compete in the prestigious Celtic Cup, one of America's Top 10 winter youth tournaments.  Coached by the Fever's own pet Numpty (Smithy) they will be fundraising in the Bencher and possibly the Thistle before tomorrow's game, so put your hand in your pocket and help them on their way!

Actually Liam McKenzie is IBU til he dies except they don't have top level football at his age so he had to defect to the Mar.

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

Oh by the way thanks to everyone who bought a hat on Friday or picked up some Sausage Action on Saturday at Newtown Park.

We raised a few hundred bucks, which was awesome.  Will be back again at the next game.

Ubergunner if you read this tell Boycie I haven't forgotten we owe him a hat...

Not really, although I don't put in a drop of effort (just like LLG) I never cease to dazzle crowds and can't stop scoring , would also like to see Gao win the Nix MVP, yeah right!

You know we belong together...

People may not be aware that after Smithy's TV display earlier in the week he sprinted for the airport to fly out with the Tornadoes Mk II.

Same website should have updates, they beat the 7th ranked side in the US (at this age group) earlier today.

great experiance and development once again for " rich" kids and their "rich" parents.
Maybe the "poor" kids can try and fundraise a trip to south america, to play amongst their peers
in the streets of Sao Paulo. meanwhile they could relax at the luxurious shanty-towns cardboard
suite and beg for meals.

If you can work out how to make a Tornadoes trip fully funded without increasing the workload on those that organise it, I'm sure they would love to hear it...

...while you are at it, you can help Capital Football make youth rep sides and developement programs cost neutral for families as well.
